The Leshiy II thread was starting to get diluted with other semi-auto options. I'm guilty too. So I thought with all the new semi options coming out it would be nice to have a reference thread.

Personally I have the Leshiy II in a .22 and a Huben .22.

I just picked up this AEA "Assassin" in a .30.

AEA c

Nine shot magazine.

AEA b

I'm still working on finding the right pellet combination for it. So far Hades are out. ?

AEA d

Chrony

AEA e

I don't want to harsh on the gun yet. It's a little work in progress. From what I see on the web the .30's don't group as well as the smaller calibers. I've got mine to where I feel "hunter safe" with a body shot. Just grins to shoot. Nice recoil and enough bark stock to compliment the feeling of power.

The screw on the power wheel wants to work loose while shooting and the pin that allows you to slide the butt stock keeps coming out.

I'd love to see a modernized version of the Hatsan Sortie with a 300 bar pressure capacity.  The price tag on that machine is kind of staggering for what it is, but then, it is semi-auto, so maybe that is the real cost plus reasonable profit for maker and vendors.  If I have a miraculous windfall of money, I might buy one.  If I see an updated version with higher pressure for more shots and more power, I might buy one.  It does seem to be in a class by itself - and I don't see any other gun like it.

That's the beauty of a semi. Instant follow up shot. Plus they are just plain fun to shoot. ?

I don't argue with the "Zen" factor. I guess I'm talking more shits and giggles. Anytime I've had people shooting in my back yard and break out a few different guns to try the semi's are the one they always want to shoot again. ?

When I've spent a day in the field pesting with a semi it's always hard for me to go back to a "cocker". Home fill option and a large lead inventory are strongly suggested. ?

I will say, if I'm using a single shot, I certainly do make an extra effort that the first shot is all I need. ?

Ive got a Leishsy 2 and a AEA semi back packer in .22. Really wasnt even interested in semi, for a lot of reason, till the L2 came up for sale, then the AEA popped up for a good price.

one thing Ive learned from both, is restraint. when they first arrived, it was a lot of "spray and pray"... no soda can within 40 yards was safe. but then you get that out of yer system, it was back to single shots.   The L2 also taught me some bad habits, like breaking the shot then immediatley getting off the trigger with no regard to follow thru

best part for me is NOT having to break my form/stance between shots. Shoot, assess, adjust, and pull the trigger again. 🙂

I'd be happy if they simply managed to make one that consistently works without breaking down every 300-500 shots... Up to the fourth major repair on mine, and while Hatsan has been great about sending out the parts under warranty it does get old having it break down that often (also now the warranty period is over so anything else will be $$$). Beautiful looking pistol, especially with the wood stock, but the function (or dysfunction as the case may be) leaves a lot to be desired. Experiences with both the Sortie and the BT65 Carnivore have pretty much soured me with ever getting another product from Hatsan, but again I will give them credit for their customer service and with sending out parts under warranty.

Old school Brno Aeon B96 pistol. I never owned one, but I shot my buddy's quite a bit. REMARKABLE trigger, and when the magazine was empty, you swore that was only 4 shots. A beautiful piece of engineering, and a remarkably accurate pistol.

So, wish-list? Put that action in a 10M-style rifle stock with a long barrel, kinda like what Alpha-project did. I'd buy one!

I had to look that one up. I have a Aeon single shot PCP pistol. You are right on the trigger. I had not seen a rapid shot version.

I'm a fan of the K1s. I have two of them, one in .25 and a custom in .177, also a SK19 in the collection. I'm thinking about adding a K1 in .22, a Huben for every need.

I had not shot my Huben .22 in a long time. I pulled it out and couldn't help thinking "Why don't I shoot this more?" Such a well rounded overall shooter. I like the high magazine count too.

Huben

Rapid fire 50 yard.

On April I bought an AEA HP Semi-Auto Carbine in .25 caliber. It is the worst airgun I've ever owned in over 50 years of airgunning, so bad that I just give it away.

I decided to buy that airgun because I wanted to have a semi-auto hunting air rifle, and the AEA offering was the less expensive. While pondering the idea for some weeks I watched many of the AEA's videos on YT and the system seemed to be quite simple.

After receiving the gun the first thing I noticed was how hard you have to pull the bolt knob and keep it rearwards to insert the magazine, it is absurdly heavy and will fatigue your rigth trigger finger after a couple of magazine loads. In addition the trigger pull is 12 lbs!

On the first day, after shooting one magazine, the bolt get jammed and doesn't cock anymore. I contacted the dealer and he recommended me to take apart the trigger and sear and lightly polish the parts.

I took the gun to my airgunsmith and found that the sear was displaced 90 Deg. out of position and that this parts are not hardened. Polished the parts and put it back together. Six magazines later it get jammed again, back on the workbench found this time that the hammer spring was very distressed, and that the bolt works very loosely inside the cycling chamber. I let the dealer know about my findings and his offer was to sell me a new hammer spring, then I realized that I threw away $700 on a piece of crap.

When I finally managed to get an 22 AEA HP Semiauto Carbine fixed and missing (read lost) parts replaced (after 6 month lost battle with USPS and around another $150 out of pocket) I was finally able to enjoy it. Pretty decent for 25-50 yard, so no complaints there.

Other stuff I'd love to have would be a Huben or a Leishy, but they're a bit of my price range. Maybe a Kral Puncher Auto provided anyone ever manages to carry the thumbstock rifle version (only ever seen them on youtube so far..).

In my group of airgunners we have a Huben .22, two AEA Carbine .25, two Evanix Cloud Ultra .25, one Leshiy2 .25 and one .30, within 'em the Leshiy2 are superior, the Huben a far second runner, the rest malfunctions frequently.

On my AEA the magazine cover felt like it was coming off. Very loose and the detent did nothing to hold it. So I put a very small o-ring behind the center screw and it seemed secure. Then the gun jammed. Both magazines jammed. I removed the o-rings and no problem since. The engineers know much much more than I do. ?  I believe the slight additional pressure at the end of the magazine wind wouldn't let the last pellet load. Power wheel screw worked loose as well. Other than that it's been a joy to shoot. Not going to win any accuracy contests but I feel confident to pest with it.

My first Huben was a problem child. Had a habit of losing the grouping as it shot. Slow shooting or fast. Would not hold a group. Also would jam. Sent it back. My second one has been much better. I can't remember the last jam. Just a power house!

My Leshiy will jam on occasion. I normally find a small sliver of lead on the magazine putting pressure on it. Easy fix, but happens enough to be annoying.
