I just picked up a UK .22 Tomahawk and an older Simmons 4.5-14x40 AO. Been a long time since I put a scope on a Tomahawk. Medium or high rings with that AO ?

Good question. I have two Webley Tommies. I got the .22 first and it came with a scope held in high Webley rings. Just right.
Ok, then a Got a .25. The comb was so high i couldn't comfortably see through a scope in high rings. So I trimmed the comb down and refinished it and now it wears an Airmax in high rings . It was all for good, the refinish came out spectacular. Much more attractive piece of walnut stained and refinished.
