Any of you ever scoped a Benjamin 312? A friend of mine just scored one at a garage sale and his eyes are no better than mine.

I think Baker Airguns sells a mount for the Benjis but I am not sure if it will fit the 312.  Also Air Ventura used to sell a clamp on mount that should work, and there were the 2 piece mounts for the Benjamin Sheridan guns.  I may even have a set or two of those lying around. Good luck, whatever you do.  The 312 is a nice little gun.

A Crosman 457 intermount would work but they have been discontinued. The 459 intermount may work but it won't be as secure unless you mount it with some magnetic tape on the bottom tube to take out the slop. That will allow you to mount a scope with 3/8 dovetail. I'd suggest a 4x pistol scope out in front "scout" style.

I think Sun Optics has a clamp-on the barrel type mount, I seem to remember seeing one at the Mac1 Airguns' website as well.

Thanks everyone. That Mac1 mount looks like it just might be the ticket.

Regardless of the mount you get, consider mounting it "scout" style with a long eye relief pistol scope. 2 problems with a conventional mount: pumping and loading. While both can be done, its not ideal.

My friend is no stranger to mounting scopes on Benjamins or Sheridans for that matter. He just never specifically scoped a 312 and didn't know what mount fit it. He's even milled a few custom mounts for his own personal guns.
