Friends,

I'd like to get a set of 1", 11 mm / 3/8 precision rings for a .25 Marauder that won't mark my scope.  Any input?  Are BKL & Sportsmatch still the big names?

While I've used Burris Signature rings exclusively in the past, recently I have noticed that the tolerances aren't so great (just my observations, possibly not a brand-wide occurrence).

Alternatively, if there is a recommended precision 11 mm / 3/8 conversion to Picatinny I can easily find a number of excellent rings.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Joe

For airgun use this is the 3/8 to weaver adapter I use.

I can attest that these work really well on pcps and allows a wider choice of mounts. In addition has the added advantages of being low and adaptable to slight variations in the width of the dovetail grooves.

Search for rimfire mounts, there are some decent ones. BKL, Talley, Warne and uh...Burris. 🤮 I am thrilled with my Talley steel rings but they are 11mm dovetail 30mm tube. I actually like Burris and haven't noticed any issues but I'm sure its possible.

I have a set of Kelbly on my Annie .22 rimfire, they are the nicest machined mounts I have used.  Not familiar with your rifle, but here is a link for reading.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for all the replies.

gingerspop - I'd like to try some Vortex rings and they offer a substantial military discount but I don't think they offer an 11 mm solution in the PMR.  I'll have to dig around a bit more.

TerryVanpool & functor - I actually had a pair of these which enabled me to get started with my Burris Singnature rings by allowing just enough room for the optical bell to clear on my Sightron SII "Big Sky" 4-16x42.

Bigbore - That's an excellent link & I added it to my references.  Thanks!

Prairie Farmer - Those look interesting, I'll do some more reading on them.

In any case, still not sure if I want to drop the funds on a new Hill breach to give me a factory picatinny rail but here's where I'm at now with the UTG adapters and Burris Signature Zee mediums.

Check out the D3 Precision rings. I have a set on my Anschutz 1710 and my Air Arms HFT 500 and they're great.

They come in either 3/8" or 11mm dovetail mount and four different heights. All are for 1" scope tubes right now but I believe Pete will be coming out with 30mm rings soon.

Pete's a Silhouette shooter (like myself) and stands behind his product. Check them out...
