Has anyone mounted a rifle scope on a Webley Alecto with the carbine stock?I could use more scope for my old eyes than a 2x pistol scope but am not sure how to mount a rifle scope  far enough back for proper eye relief with the carbine stock that is strongly enough mounted to allow me to pump  the action without bending the mount.Any advice will be appreciated.

about the only thing that come to mind is a scout style scope, here are some for examples only

https://thegunzone.com/best-scout-scope-reviews/

I wish they had taken the top of the cocking handle and continued the weaver mount cuts, the single one up front is good for a small reflex sight but not much else

pushing down without a scope when your trying to get that 3 pump on a short barrel or 4 with the ultra can be a hand full but with a scope has never been something I wanted to do

Hammer brand scopes and has a long eye relief model and it is cheap I see them on Ebay, the quality is an unknown

her's my solution. Cantilever mount with delrin spacer to support the mount against cocking effort.30mm 1.5-6 fiber optic scope, makes pumping easier also.

I’ve done two of them (but sans the shoulder stock).

Just cut a couple more grooves in the weaver rail…

The finishing file is a 7/32” rattail and matches the cross-screw profile pretty well:

The .177 cal:

The .22 cal:

Gary what did you use to guide the file or did you do it freehand and would a square file work as well so it matched the one factory grove

the one groove, the dumbest thing about the pistol

Hi Mike, both were done by hand (before I had access to a machine shop). Just taped-off the cutline on both sides for a guide...

If you want a square groove and are doing it by hand, I would start with a round file first to establish the width. The round files will be somewhat self-centering if you keep them free of any chip build-up. Then finish with a square file. I've never found a square file narrow enough for those grooves (that could do heavy cutting).... have used several 32 TPI hacksaw blades clamped together instead... full-bore Flintstone ? ..

I agree that only one groove on top is pretty dumb. They should swap a few from the bottom rail -
