I did a rebuild on one of these myself a few years ago, with JM parts. It was complicated, but not impossible. When I was done, the pistol worked just fine. But I will offer this: about 3-4 months after I sold it, the buyer contacted me and said it didn't shoot anymore, so there may be more to it than I was aware of at the time. Based on that experience, I would recommend sending it to someone who specializes in Giss-system guns. Sorry I can't be of more help, as I don't know who that might be.

Now days, these gun cost more to get repaired than they are worth.
Unless you are willing to do it yourself, the repair guys know they have you.

Lets make that airgunwerks.com.

so if you are going to do the repair don't use Air Rifle Headquarter seals the piston seal is over size and you have no good way to resize them once you have installed them on the front piston

and the breech seal seem to be under sized that causes a sight problem

the pistol itself can be taken apart in 15 minutes if you know the tricks

the clean up of the tube can be a pain and they normally need soaking

call Umarex and see if they are still doing them

the problem is there are more parts needed then 1 piston seal and a breech seal

you got a front a rear piston seal, there are 2 pistons and they are different seals

you need the right rear cap spacer and stepped washer for the timing

and the right tools makes a big difference

so can you do it, i don't know

are they hard to do, sort of but not after you have done a half a dozen

you need parts tools and knowledge

i will help if i can but i don't rebuild others gun

got question message me

take care mike

so on what they are selling for

Umarex used to charge 150.00 to fix them with shipping to and i can't remember if the shipping back was included, let say 180.00

now if you bought the gun for more then 175.00 knowing it was in need on seals and you can't do it you are close to going under water

if it has factory wood target grip on the pistol i add 80.00 in value but they have be in great shape, even though they are on the small side

so Jim said that they are not worth more then a the repair, well that is his opinion but past sale would disagree with that just on Ebay

diana model 6 air pistol | eBay

will you be above what they are worth, more then likely but not always

i have 9 model 6's in the 3 types, so i'm in fairly deep in this model and that doesn't count the 3 model 10's

you are right, I'm heavy in Giss System pistols

are they a great pistol, some say yes, i say maybe, there triggers are the short fall

so are they worth the money sure but it helps if you understand what your looking at but that is always a sound idea when buying anything

@marflow

After eBay fees the price is really reduced. I’ve sold several airguns on eBay and the selling price is impressive, the actual cash not so much.

I paid $250.00 delivered for mine about a month ago…

The seller thought it might need new seals.

It shoots 7.0 at 495fps…
