Hey guys. This week I got my hands on the SBR of PCP airguns: the Rapid Air Worx Micro Hunter. This compact beauty is everything you would expect...minus the power. The website said the power is adjustable. You can certainly ad a longer bottle. If anyone knows how to adjust the hammer spring to get 890 FPS, please let us know! I did not have time to explore the tuning thing. Happy Thanksgiving weekend! -Nate

@airgun_channel There's always a lot of excitement over a new gun, I would much rather see complete shot strings, then accuracy testing. If shot count and shot to shot consistency are poor, accuracy isn't very relevant.

Just got one of these in .177.  I have had it for 4 days so can’t give any real review.  At this point it is obviously well made.  It is fun to shoot.  Seems pretty accurate.  I slapped an old, cheap scope on it while I wait for a new scope and mounts to arrive.  I did a quick sight-in off bucket & sticks and just been shooting spinners for fun.  With CPH 10.5 grains it averages around 815fps.  Starts to fall off the reg around shot 40.  AA 10.34gr shoots around 830fps.  It fits in my AR-15 M4 soft case perfectly which is nice.  Plan to take it to deer camp next weekend for some mid-day entertainment.  I am sure it will be a hit.  It’s not whisper quiet but not that loud.  Noise is not an issue where I live but if it is an issue you will need a moderator.  I am anxious to get the new scope on it and do some pellet/accuracy testing.  This is a 5-1/2 pound, little rifle so I am not expecting the same accuracy results as my 12-15 lb full on match rifles.  It is well built with match grade parts so it should be decent.  That’s really all I can say with only a couple of hours behind the trigger.  My overall initial impression it is a kick ass little rifle.

@james_perotti  ...yeah, sorry, I forgot to do the shot string. I will try to do a follow up on it and post a shot string here.

Sorry.  Just did a magazine full of AA 10.34 to get an idea of where things were at.  It’s pretty obvious is falls of reg around 140-150 bar.  That’s fine for a small hunting rifle where not many shots are needed.  For me this will be a backyard plinker.  I am going to look into resetting the reg & hammer spring to where is shoots a AA 8.44 gr pellet around 800fps/12fpe to get the shot count up.

Took a RAW Chassis & put in a highly modified THEOBEN MFR.    Set for 12 fpe w/ 10.3 @ 720 with a 200cc tank it makes @ 75-80 shots.

Barrel at just sub 15" w/o the butt stock & ldc a legal AAFTA pistol as well

Theoben MFR | RAW Chassis

Love it !!!

In factory form the set up & tune has room to make these outstanding ... It will happen 😍

I just picked one up. Worst grip I've ever felt. Easy replacement fix. Trigger is fantastic but too light for my taste. Simple one screw adjustment had it perfect for me. Shot count is better than I expected for the bottle size. I'm shooting .22 Hades at about 780 fps. I wish it had an adjustable butt stock. Shouldering it is not a natural position. I put a 5 power Vortex Spitfire sight on it for optics. I have them one a few other compact guns and like them. I think it's a good fit for this gun. Accuracy is more than acceptable for pesting.

From the above post: I wish it had an adjustable butt stock.

The cheek piece and length of pull is adjustable.  What I find, and think you meant, it would be nice if the butt pad had vertical adjustment.  I would like to lower the butt pad at least an inch.  Since the rifle will accept any AR type butt stock I have been looking at all the many choices and haven’t really found one that would be any different than the stock that came on it.  It’s a nice rifle overall.  Mine is 177 and is now turned down to 12fpe and the shot count is doubled to 70-80 shots.

@brazos

Yes, what I would like is an adjustable butt pad. I've done a little sniffing around but not seen what I'm looking for. May have to go DIY.

@pluric same here. Tons of different AR type stocks to choose from.  Hard to tell from looking at pictures on the www.  I need to just go to a big gun show and look around.  I have an A2 old school butt stock somewhere around the house.  I have been thinking about putting it on for comparison for fit.  For people reading this it is not a knock on the rifle, in my opinion, it’s more of a personal fit issue.  Building a rifle like this that uses AR stock and grip is smart.  There are a lot of cheap options out there to allow you to quickly change things to your liking.  In my case I would like the butt pad lower for my physical build.  Outside of that no complaints.  It’s a nice rifle.

@brazos

Took matters into my own hands this morning and just made a butt extension from some scrap aluminum flat stock. Dropped it 2 1/2 inches.

It's a perfect fit for me now. Shoulders so much better.
