I have a AZ Tuned Rapid that is (slow) leaking air. Who would you suggest for installing new seals?
Thanks in advance!
The Rapids were designed to be easy to work on. Theoben used to offer a guide on how to disassemble them. The easiest air gun I’ve every worked in. If it’ a regulated gun that’s most likely the leak area. Mine was the o ring around the body. Easy fix and you don’t have to mess with re reg setting.
Martin has reseal kits. As said, easy job.

My goto for that would have been Steve at Pomona but recent posts seem to indicate he has all the work he can handle. If you can contact him and he commits to delivering in a reasonable amount of time, unless things have changed, you'll be happy with his work.
Having said that, I agree that this is probably one of the simplest PCPs to work on, especially considering how precise it is. BTW, I wouldn't assume it is seals, it's probably more common to have debris on the valve face. How fast or slow is the leak. Holding initially then leaking down overnight, probably seal, leaking down immediately, valve not sealing.
@bigbore Thanks! Unless there are some YouTube videos of this, I wouldn’t know where to start.
There probably are YouTube videos of service but this site will be a good reference too.
Even if you send it out you're going to have downtime. Get a camera and photograph all stages of the disassembly. Chances are you'll probably only have to remove the bottle and bottle tap or how ever it is referred to.
How fast is the leak?
BTW, what about AZ?
@bigbore Somewhat slow. If I don’t use it for a few weeks. Has always held charge for months but notice it’s lower than usual.
If it is so slow that it takes weeks to bleed down, I would shoot it and start getting the background on service and parts suppliers.
I didn't own one with a regulator but complete disassembly is probably not required, probably much less disassembly than you anticipate.
Have a go! I suffered from much apprehension about servicing my guns but once I dove in and had my failures and successes, I enjoyed that aspect of the sport.
@jw652 Sorry but I’m not a regular to the forum so who is Martin and how can I get ahold of him? Thank you.
Just to get you started, I believe he used to own this company:
I don't think he does anymore but I'll defer to others who have followed the story. He probably is involved in some form of support business for the Rapid platform. I think Joe Brancato sells and services rapids too. There are others, hopefully you'll get other answers with leads.
Anybody know the status of AZ?
Martin Rutterford worked at Theoben for 25 years before founding RAW.
