Now that Jim has had to step back some from Wicked Air to tend to his regular job in your opinion how will this affect the value and demand for used Flex air rifles? I've been in his exact position before and realize that it can be maddening trying to keep it all together. Will we still be able to get repair parts in a timely manner? I've always been impressed with the service that Jim could offer on his products due to the fact that he could devote a lot of time to building parts and doing custom work. What do the Flex owners think and how will this affect them. I'm not bashing on Jim....I'm just curious what others think. I had always had a Flex on my shortlist of airguns to buy but should I take this into consideration before buying a used one? Thanks for the honest input. Please keep bashing to a minimum as this was not my intent. I can honestly sympathize with him remembering back to working 80+ hours a week trying to hold it all together but that was just me. I've long since retired because of an accident that has left me disabled with some permanent spinal cord damage.
well i'll comment on this. imo the gun is over rated and over priced. now i know lots of shooters will jump in and say how great their guns are. you asked for honest opinions and this is mine. i had a 25 a couple of years ago. i asked for certain things to be set up. nothing exotic, just trigger and speed. got the gun with none of that done. no directions on trigger adjustment. its a firearm trigger and had to search all over to find directions. cocking was crazy hard. accuracy was excellent. recoil would cause pellets to back out in the mag. so to cock the next round you had to realign some pellets. gun is unique. possibly some collectors value down the road (?). BUT, at the price point there are a bunch of tried and true guns out there with good on going support. imo why risk 2k?
Thanks, those are excellent points. Something I would know nothing about without your input. I had wondered my self about the cocking with the handle instead of a lever. That's a real concern for me with the weakness in my hands because of the spine damage. How about some more insights?
My experience was like above. High $$ MRod is about what it is. It was accurate, but no more then my Taipan or BSA Techstar.
It was also heavier then advertised. I didn't like the retracting probe either. Cock, push forward, then pull back and down. Wasn't "smooth" by any means, and felt unnatural.
I also bought my gun from Jim's partner at the time. Wouldn't trust what he says. He lied to me about a couple different things. I wound up selling the gun and getting most of my $$ back.

I trust that when you say: "He lied to me..." you are talking about Jim's former partner. I know JIM well and he is one of the most honest, hardworking people you will ever meet. His former partner apparently took money for rifles and booked - leaving Jim responsible for building rifles that he knew nothing about and for which he was not paid. This setback drove him to the position he is in now. That other person is now involved in another airgun venture. Caveat emptor.
It is one thing to say you don't like Jim's product. That is fine and your opinion matters. But if you malign his character, you are making a serious mistake.

I certainly am talking about the PARTNER. I do know that he is involved in another airgun venture (He was actually involved in a different one between WAR and the present) I never had any person dealing with Jim, just the partner.
