I have 2 AA400/500 rifles. These have the hammer adjustment, so I do get a decent amount of consistent shots at lower velocities. With a regulator I was hoping for a bit less standard deviation.
I have a couple 10 meter rifles, a Anschutz 9003 and Walther LG400. These have everything I want for my winter indoor shooting, but I want something for outdoor silhouette. The furthest target is 40 yards and I guess the ram is 2-3 inches big. So I need accuracy on that level. This is basically practice for powder burner silhouette, so I want a standard sporter configuration under/about 8 pounds.
I also have a Walther LG300 Dominator but it does not have the right configuration/weight, and it is pretty loud. Unfortunately someone is building a house 200 yards away, so I want to keep the noise down.
So at least I have a fair idea of the type of rifle. I figured a HW100 sporter, but now I am considering a AA 510 regulated. I guess a 12FPE set up would be great with 100+ shots per fill, but I can't seem to find one.

Loudness can be fixed if you do a search there are a lot of options with the cheapest being on Ebay or TKO to custom made but more than likely you will need to send your guns to a tuner for it and it may become scary or ridiculously quiet after that you will think it is broken or out of air when shot.
An easy (and this will also save you money by not having to buy a new gun) and simple alternative is to add HUMA reguators (one of the most reliable brand I must add and this brand tend to give the user more shots compared to others as well) to your AA400/500 guns typically for $115 and a 10 minute installation just be sure to degass the guns first. You can dial your power down to whatever level you want for your needed shot count. Honesty for now, I personally do not trust Air Arms in house regulators in their sporter rifle line yet. Only drawback is that the onboard manometer reads the regulator pressure so you will need to count your shots. 2-3 inch ram targets at 40 yards? just about any decent PCP should get the job done IMHO if the shooter practices enough even a 177 straight out of the box Benjamin Fortitude (sub $300 light weight sporter regulated rifle) with its terrible trigger which can be remedied with the cheap 3 trigger screw mod and gets 60-70 regulated shots. I really like mine and doesn't matter if it was one of my cheaper guns, I just like to shoot it. I like my 177 Fortitude more than my 22 due to its flatter trajectory for longer shots out to 80 yards and it is really light weight and quiet out of the box like a 177 Marauder quiet with a reliable magazine which does not seem to negatively affect accuracy in any way. I bought a Gen1 Marauder trigger group with a proper shim for it but have yet to install it.
The other option is to have your Walther LG300/400 sent to a well known tuner who bumps the power up and goes through the whole gun for accuracy and consistency which should still be cheaper than having to buy a new gun as well. Have an LDC or shroud custom made for it while you are at it. Only drawback is the long wait time but it will be worth the wait because you will get a gun that you will never want to sell that is a real pleasure to shoot that won't bother your neighbors and if you send it to the right guy who probably takes the longest turnaround time of them all to do it, it will probably be the quietest and most enjoyable gun you will ever shoot when you eventually get it back. It will definitely be worth waiting a very long time for. He used to specialize in tuning Anshutz 10 meter guns to shoot in FT competition and was the quietest and some of the most accurate guns out there.
I have to remind you that the HW100s do not have regulators FYI and their shot counts are typically 40 or less out of the box.
I just got a 12fpe Euro version of the HW110 in 177 that gets 110-120 shots per 200 BAR fill and is stupidly crazy ridiculously downright unbelievably utterly quiet out of the box and it is much quieter than my regulated 177 Benjamin Marauder Field and Target custom shop and my 177 Benjamin Fortitude. It sounds like a click when shot. Like when you take a snapshot from your camera, it is that quiet you would probably think it is out of air when shoting it. Order one from KRALE if you want one (Specifically the sub12fpe version). Good news is that muffler threads off and not permanent like the ones you buy from domestic dealers or inquire if the 12fpe Euro version can be special ordered but be advised their LDC is going to be locktited or glued on the barrel threads.
I have both HW100s and HW110s in 177 and 22 caliber and it seems as though the HW110s get more shots at the same power levels in comparison. The 177 HW100 I have that is turned down to 12fpe does not get 100 shots or even close to that number given the same air cylinder volume as the 177 12fpe HW110 FYI.
The HW110s are not regulated either but are very consistent as well. My 22 (full length FAC version HW110) gets a few more shots than my HW100 counterpart at the same caliber and power level.
The other option I could suggest for your shooting needs is a Brocock Bantam Hi Lite in either 177 or 22 both unregulated if you simply wanted to find an excuse to spend your money burining a hole in your pocket and have the cash. They are not regulated but get 60-70-80 dead on consistent shots when filled to the sweet spot typically 2700-2800psi with an extreme spread under 15-16fps and if you can live with a 20-25fps spread you can push it out to 100 to 120 shots. They can also be made extremly quiet by upgrading their not so effective device to a bigger fatter one for example the Huggett Magna or Donny Emperor or Ronin or Shogun for the ultimate in stealt to keep the neighbors happy and clueless to what you are up to.
Keep in mind when it comes to needing quiet, there is no replacement for displacement.

I actually sent one of my AA400 to Motorhead for a regulator/tune today.
As far as my Walther LG300 Dominator is is factory set up for high power. Last year I had Korick build and install a new regulator so it is dandy. So functionally it is already a field rifle, not a 10 meter rifle. But as I said it has a shroud that has an air stripper, not a sound dampener, so it is pretty loud.
Not as loud as the Steyr Lg 100 and 110 I had. Those definitely needed a sound reduction, and the LG 100 was from the guy you mentioned. Sad but even though both had adjustable stocks, neither ever felt right. In fact they stand out as the worst balance rifles I ever had. Sad because they did cost both time and money.

I have this major weakness for 10 meter guns in general due to their superb accuracy and now FT guns as well...
Here is my Walther LG300 Dominator FT that had been highly modified and professionally tuned that I recently bought from a Field Target accuracy fanatic. Coincidentally, I was going to buy a 10 meter version of the LG300 from another seller but the other seller kept saying his is an unmodified 10 meter LG300 Junior that shoots 800fps on average and I called his BS and passed on that one and found this highly modified professionally tuned and quieted LG300FT that shoots 12fpe and purchased it. I had good dealings with this seller and had previously purchased his fully modded and tuned MrodAir Max gen2 FT Pistol with a FT scope and effective LDC for it with case not that long ago. I really look forward to buying accurate target guns from accuracy fanatics who makes everything perfect! Photos are from the previous owner as I hadn't gotten around to photographing yet since I received it. This one is crazy quiet that it sounds like it is out of air when shot.
I did not get the "bridge" on the receiver with this rifle and I hope my "Drooped" Rowan Steyr LG110 bridge will fit on this rifle.
And I agree that the Steyr LG100 and LG110 (and all other Steyrs) are really LOUD!!!

HW100 IS regulated and are not typical to what you may have seen elsewhere. I owned a super accurate one in .22 and serviced the regulator once. It was a truly reliable and pleasurable rifle to use. I had the thumbhole version and it fit me perfectly.
I got 28 regulated shots and roughly 10 more which were fine for closer shooting.
