I thought I’d try iron sights on one of my guns and settled on my uragan compact .177. I used ultradyne c2 sights. Wow these are intuitive.
In the pic you can see my group off a bag at 13yd and.... you can see I need to practice more off hand too. But I’m able to get a tighter group with them than with a few scopes I’ve used. In a previous life I shot small bore matches and ran peep peep sight set up. This took me back to then almost like I’d never stoped. The goal of the set up is to mostly plink but it sure makes for a super light gun I will give hunting ago next season for sure. The 4 is 4 shots off the bench.
SeeAll open sights are petty fun too' they've had a lot of 30% off sales running lately as well (including right now, signing up for newsletter allows for up to 40%). Take a little getting used to but are pretty easy to use with the delta style, even at longer distances. Major advantage with them is staying focused on your target rather than the front sight.
