After pumping up my Air Force Texan, the pump when I turn the release valve, wants to drain the air from the gun. I cannot remove the hand pump from the gun because of the pressure. Anybody know the problem and or solution

I am not a pcp expert by no means. However I did purchase a Crosman 1710 and a hand pump. I shot it today as a matter of fact. When I first got to pumping back when I purchased it new, mine would dump its air when releasing the drain valve. Come to find out, I wasn’t doing it fast enough. The check valve needs to slam shut quick apparently. This might be your case? I have added a couple drops of silicone oil to mine also since, and no further issues.
