Mine is wearing a Weaver 1-4 held by Leupold rings and makes a perfect combo.

I got this $285 Weaver Classic 2 power x 28mm Pistol Scope on eBay for $103. I think they are about $150 new off eBay.

not the 'clearest' or best sight picture but I've always used simple BSA pistol scopes. I have a 2x on my silo pistol and a 2-7 in my extras drawer. the higher mag throws me off trying to acquire the target thus 'extra' cause the fixed 2x is so much lighter. 2x is $68 at PA

well on the 2240 platform you have to be aware of the scope be in the way of the loading area, and if you have fat fingers it will be a pain

something like this is a cheap try but you need a dovetail to weaver adapter

https://www.amazon.com/Ohuhu-OH-RG-SC-4R-Green-Reflex-Reticles/dp/B00YRIHYIW/ref=sr_1_8?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1534478569&sr=1-8&keywords=red%2Bdot%2Bscope&th=1

a IZH 46m mount might work also, the mounting area is 57 mm and that on a the Sun Optic brand mount, it gets the scope away from the loading area but might be too far forward for some

get a cheap scope and mount it up and give it a test, the BSA pistol scopes as mention aren't bad and a nice used one on Ebay might be the ticket

it's a test to find out if that is what you want and don't we all have a big box full of stuff that didn't work out, I do but they all find a home over time, you just have too buy for guns LOL

also make sure you know the eye relief on any scope you buy and how you will be shooting the gun by do a measurement from placement to eye position, all are not created equal

good luck take care

Which rail mount are you using with your Burris Fastfire? Standard weaver?

Yes it is a weaver mount with a UTG 11mm to Weaver adapter. Works well.
