Im looking for a 22 cal PCP rifle for my 10yo son to go squirrel hunting and target/plinking. Hes small, so Id like short and light bullpup or oistil with stock. Budget is $400.

Ive been going back and forth between the Marauder pistol with stock (3lbs) and the Hatsan Flash Pup QE (6.1lbs).

My concerns are weight and ability to cock the lever. He struggles with my Marauder often double loading, but I have a tight hammer spring in it. Id prefer a lever, but that jumps the price.

Anyone with experience with thw Hatson and its cocking weight and its supposed magazine issue?

Suggestions???

Don't have any experience with the Hatsan , but the Marauder pistol in carbine form would be perfect for your son. Light and not hard to cock. JMHO

The weight, and size advantage is with the P'rod for sure. The other thing is Crosman's customer service and parts availability are just about unbeatable.
