OK, I will address the easy part first. What is "PBB&J"? - It is a nice take on the classic PB&J. Simply peanut butter, BUTTER and jelly on bread! Yummy.
What does it have to do with an airgun forum? Well it was what I had for lunch today and it means, to me, that the weekend is that much closer. Super excited for the weekend plans. I am in a tricky spot - have real nice weather in the forecast an plans to shoot airguns bot days, however, there is a question as to where to go. I can drive a few hours north and shoot the TN state FT championship match Saturday morning. I can stay at home and set up my home range, humble as it is, and get to try out my first ever chronograph! I finally broke down and ordered one and it is due to arrive Friday.
I am also leaning towards staying home as I received a new to me rifle. A professionally tuned and loved AT44-10 QE in .25.
There it is from last night sitting on the work bench. I sold off all of my .25 cal rifles last year/first of this year. So I am itching the trigger finger to get that one outside and stretch out the targets some...
My weekend is similar, but will start with crunchy peanut butter & butter on toast. I anxiously await the arrival this Friday of a new Hatsan Flash "woody" in .22. Gotta go to WallyWorld and get some shootnsee targets. My range is set at 65 yds on a down slope into the woods. I am sure the racket will keep my 7 resident deer away in the a.m. Hope you have a blast, I know I will. ? God Bless
Grape jelly , margarine, and peanut butter is a magic combination. Other fruits are good, but something about the artificial grape flavor.
If you're going for secret recipe status, mix softened margarine into the pb ahead of time, play it cool. Toasted rye with caraway takes it up another notch... careful!
Maybe the non-cooks are rolling their eyes, yeah right, little tricks are what makes good cooks! Try this.
Take a plate of a finished dish, begin sniffing random spices in combination with odors from the dish. Somewhere in your spice cabinet is the PERFECT combination, EXACTLY what's missing, you'd NEVER have found it otherwise, and people will tell you "Best EVER!" Damn right, it's my own recipe! LOL
Smell is taste, and it's a clever workaround to ruining the whole dish, but I digress...
Congrats on the 1st chrony, watch your line of sight vs line of bore elevation, or it'll be the 1st chrony you shot a hole in.
If you're too smart for that...congrats 2... watch them buddies... whoa buddy! :-[
"Broke down and ordered..." sounds like a budget model?
Bluetooth wifi beer tap solar power microusb flashing LED valve stem lights subwoofer and tweeters, what does a $100 chrony look like in 2019?
I'd stay home for fear of being too distracted to shoot wishing I'd stayed home with my calibration device.
So nice to come into work and see some replies to the weekend plans. as far as cooking goes I am full up in the kitchen. 50+ years old and it all started with frying bologna when I was about 5!
Never had any formal training - just the youngest of 5 kids in a one parent house (GOD Bless my Mom) so we had to cook to eat etc.
I like the smell and spice idea. I know the best PBB&J I ever had was when a customer of mine brought me s jar of homegrown and then fresh caned preserves made from a type of grape that I have just dawn a blank on....... Man I hated making that last sandwich. But I enjoyed every one - and still have the mason jar to drink out of!
My range is similar - Let me see if I can get some pics up will quick...
Here we go (that did not take too long)
I have set up four "lanes" and I use para-cord wrapped onto 3/8th threaded rod with a pvc handle and nylon lock nuts so you can put one end into a drill and hold the pvc pipe and wind them in real fast!
My shooting table is an old desk I found in downtown Bham one day. Added a 3/4" plywood top and have pointed it to help it last in the weather..... The targets range from 11 yards closest to (in the trees) the furthest one out is right at 42 yards. The one farther out are always in trees because while I have land, AMEN!, it slopes off dramatically. So I need the target to overcome the slope. I use reducers on most all of then just to make it fun.
Good point about not shooting my chrony.... I plan on being real careful with it..... Plan on...
That is it! She was spanish and spoke broken english and was kind enough to bring it to me as a gift. SUPER delicious! Thank you for knowing what it was.....
As for whether or not I go to the state match or stay at home, staying at home sounds better the more I think about it...

You want something really good, add bacon to this. PB and bacon sandwich. Indescribably delicious.
