Is there an online calculator that leaves open these three variables ( grains, FPS, caliber), where you fill in two of the variables, and the calculator auto fills the third third? Thanks guys!

Sonnysan. Thanks for that information. I've been trying to solve for the weight of the pellet, and none of the online calculators do that. But the math formula in the article you posted has all three variables in it so now I can solve for speed, weight, and foot pounds. What I'm doing is looking at a lot of air rifles that claim certain muzzle energy and pellet speed but don't mention the weight of the pellet they used. I always suspect that they use ultralight pellets to get the speeds they advertise. Now if they give me foot pounds and pellet speed I can figure out the weight of the pellet they used. And I can also find out how the muzzle energy and pellet speed change as the weight of the pellet changes. It's a very useful formula.
