Daystate Huntsman

This is a Daystate Huntsman .177 with the once famous Airstream mod.  Refinished the original stock and added a couple Ebony bits to sharpen it up.

Pardon the wacky scope knob.

Is that one of those Ray Appelles knobs?

Nope, It's Delrin I  cut  on a wood lathe. Just an ugly blue color.

VERY NICE GUN! I bet it is extremely pellet friendly too (those old school LW barrels).

That looks like a Swift or Bushnell (Korea) scope. Does it track well repeatably with that

custom FT elevation knob?

HA

Bushnell Korea, clear picture, not so great tracking or ranging. When I bought the gun, mid 90's, It was allot of money. The scope was the budget piece.

Nice work chipgibbs. I love the old huntsman's. I had one, and the newer versions also. Daystate rules!!

I too like adding decorative grip and forearm caps to some of my stocks.

Just refinished, and added rosewood caps to my Kalibrgun mini carbine. I didn't like the mud colored stain the factory used. I gave it a lighter walnut stain with just a hint of reddish tint.

I'll post some pics when it's complete, with custom checkering added.

Thanks for sharing

Scott
