How much does this actually effect accuracy? As with most air rifles that come with scopes, this Stoeger X20s2 I got early last year cane bundled with a scope and rings. I'm actually liking this rifle. Such a very solid synthetic stock. Been getting use to the trigger and just like the overall feel of it. The one gripe is that I feel the trigger guard and trigger to far forward from hand placement. Felt awkward at first but I have gotten use to it.

I replaced the scope with a Leapers but used the rings that came with it. Probably gonna swap those out with the centered BKL's.

Anybody else have this gun? And how do you like it?

If you zero the windage and elevation for the distance that you are shooting, then it has no affect on accuracy.

If you plan on shooting at multiple distances, and will be using holdover or elevation clicks than you will be hitting to the right at those other distances. Unless you adjust the scope rotation.

It's a simple fix - rotate the scope in the mounts a few degrees counter clockwise, until the vertical reticle line intersects the bore. When you shoot, hole the reticle vertical/level and everything will be good. A bubble level on the scope is a good indicator of a vertical/level reticle when shooting.

Note: Ergonomics aside, it does not matter for accuracy if the stock is canted a little, as long as the reticle and bore are vertical.

I've had rings that did that. Sometimes if you turn the rings around they will be more centered. In other words, if the clamp screws are on the left side turn the rings around so the clamp screws are on the right side and see if the rings are better centered on the gun. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it's worth a try and doesn't cost you anything but a little time.
