Tested .22 cal Norma Golden Trophy FT in both 15.9 gr and 17.6 gr...I also shot one mag each of JSB 15.9 gr and Crosman CPH 14.3 gr. All from 25 yards.
NORMA TROPHY 15.9 gr.....6 shot group 1 3/4"
NORMA TROPHY 17.6 gr.....6 shot group 3 1/2"
JSB 15.9 gr......................6 shot group 1 3/4"
CPH 14.3 gr......................4 shot group 3/4" (4 left in tin)
All shots from my AR6 Hunting Master DUK IL ARMS CO .22 cal (One of the original imports from the 90's) De-tuned to 744 FPS.
Not what I expected at all.
I'm going to use my Discovery .22 Thursday for comparison. My other .22 rifle is being re-sealed.
I noticed that loading the 17.6 Norma FT pellets in the AR6 mag that skirts were very tight going in...I had to push them in harder than any other pellet I've used.
The 15.9 Norma FT were not as tight....but snug.
The other thing is Norma suggests shooting the 17.6 gr FT's in a rifle that shoots above 24 joules and is noted on the tin. My AR6 shoots 28 Joules...maybe not fast enough...lol
Stock Screws good/Scope etc... but our little Santa Ana has kicked up winds....gusts to 20 mph.. and my target got blown off the backer...I'll get back on this Thurs..
Shot some Norma Heavy 17.6 gr from the Discovery and groups not good. Then I tried a few from my 1322 just for giggles and group tightened up a bit. Finally I shot a group using some JSB 15.9 gr just to make sure rifle was ok.

JSB 15.9 gr
In this case I'm going to stay with my tried and true JSB's which do very good.
