Long time center fire and 22lr shooter. Enjoy hunting and target shooting. As I've gotten older and center fire ammo has increased in price, I have decided to try air guns and continue paper punching and hunting.
Welcome and I followed the same path. I have been shooting mostly airguns for 20 or 25 years now. It is a great hobby.
Not sure what old is, but I am turning fifty soon, and I don’t like it.
I shot red ryder as a kid, FWB 124, HW 70.
Teen years through about 35, big time hunting, rimfire, centerfire, shotgun.
For 15 years I have been shooting airguns real hard, mainly target. And love every minute of it.
My Kimbers, Anschutz, CZ rimfires look lonely, and I have plenty of ammo, I am just not burning it up, and hope I don’t need to by anymore pb ammo with the prices the way they are.
I find spring guns harder to shoot than a rimfire and require good discipline. When I do shoot PB I find them much easier and my scores are better because of airguns.

@prairie_farmer Ive been shooting, buying & selling Airguns for the last 50 years ! Air Guns are a Great Hobby and you can always shoot indoors & outdoors ! Warning (can be Addictive ) ! I have had over 300 Airguns and now have only 8 but still look for more ! Welcome & Enjoy !
Welcome and HAVE FUN!
I prolly do more tinkering than actual shooting! My speciality has become collecting older springers, especially target guns, but there are countless fun ways to go within the hobby. 200+ airguns have passed through since the mid-80's when the bug first hit.
A springer is a great place to start, my only advice for those is don't buy too much power. Even a light, smooth-shooting, 600 FPS in .177 gun like the HW 30 (R7) reaches out farther than you might think. It or the harder-shooting HW 50 are the first choice of many.
