Hey guys. This is the new Evanix Semi Auto called the Airmax due out in about 1 year from now.  It's not battery powered, the semi auto action is powered by air. That's all I know.  It may be $1600-$1800 so start saving. New Evanix models (not sure which) will be regulated. -Nate

There is also a new gun called the Evanix Classic...hopefully a regulated semi auto.

Surprise! I have this gun now. MANY videos on the way. I had to travel forward to 2019 to get it and then come back. The rest of you will have to wait. (Only 1 seat in my time machine), and it hurts like hell to "jump time". I'm still walking funny. -Nate

P.S. Its 3650 PSI (250 bar) / Semi-Auto / 31 inches long (without moderator) / .25 cal hold 9 or 10 rounds / It's loud and powerful

Thanks for posting.

That Evanix looks good and certainly gets my attention, but I have a bad history with semi-auto air rifles. At one time or another I have owned or studied the Evanix Speed, FX Revolution, and Hatsan Barrage. They all jam or simply fail to feed. (The FX is more complicated: some seem to work almost flawlessly; others suffer as described.)  So I'm a cynic when it comes to semi-autos...although I'd love to have a reliable one, if such ever exists.

I would think pellets are the weak link in semi-auto pellet guns.  Pellets are too short and fat and often have lead lagging inside of the skirts.  Also, soft skirts are easily deformed.

Too low of a magazine count for me. My Monsoon was a 12 count I think. Sold it. I have a Huben .22 and that's a 19 count built in magazine. Can also load on the fly. It can get you laughing before it runs out.

The only reason evanix got any bad press is because no one educated the customers on how to load the magazine correctly. The first one I got jammed and then I called Pyramyd Air and the lady told me that you're supposed to snap the pellets in. I snapped them in and it worked perfectly.  Now I've been snapping the pellets in for years and have never had a jam. There's actually about four things you have to do in order to run an Evanix without jamming it.  More than most people can handle. But if there would have been some YouTube videos explaining how to run one of those, keep the battery charged, keep it oiled, and don't shoot it below 50 bar... they would probably still be producing them. I have been shooting them for years with no jams.

This is a picture of one of my gun cabinets that happens to be entirely full of fully automatic evanix, there is a speed in there too. These are my crappy ones.

^^  Indeed & Compounded by shyte clips..  Would be awesome to see a spring loaded clip along the lines of a traditional pistol clip.

David, indeed, Matt at AirArmsSA said the next big advancement in airgun technology will be in the ammo hopefully. So I'm looking forward to that. If they can make some really nice slugs that would be cool. Or whatever they can come up with is fine with me. I just want to shoot it

My SMG has a 100 round feed belt. Looks like a Tommy gun. Never has jammed but it isn't very accurate either. Good way to get rid of a lot of air and lead.
