Hello All,
I just backordered a Nikko Stirling 10-40x56 LR. I am not sure if I can post the link, so I won't. But google won't lead you astray.
It seems to have most of the specs airgunners are craving. I wanted something that reached out a bit further for my newest RAW. I plan to use it for mainly 100 yards. Parallax goes down to 10 yards. 1/8" clicks, better glass than the past, 10-40, two turrets, even the recticle seems right.. almost right. I forget the correct terminology, but the hash marks do not extend as far south as some Hawkes or Optisans.
Either way, I think it should be a good scope for the money. I'll report more when it comes in.

Update,
This scope's specs do look good for our market. SWFA has them on back order, and my order has been placed over a month ago. I contacted them and they do not know the ETA, but say it is back orderable.
I reached out to Nikko Stirling today, and got such an odd response. The rep for the parent company of NS said that I needed to contact SWFA, and that they are not even sure that they will carry the scope I ordered.
Two things here.. Now maybe it's just me, but this entirely process seems very disconnected.
1. Why would a large retailer list a scope that may, or may not be available?
2. Why (and more so HOW) would the company not know if their product would be available? I see reviews in the UK. Apparently at least some pre-market scopes made it out?
I am not speaking bad about any of the players in this, but I really would like an answer. I am OK with waiting part, but the uncertainty of the availability will cause me to wait in vain. Why list it at all if not available? Are they gauging the community interest for potential production? Did the scope not make it through R&D without flying colors. If yes to my last two questions... seems sort of backasswards if you ask me.
Any long range (100-200 yard) suggestions in the 10-40 to 10-50 range below $750? This will go on a PCP.
Thanks,

Hey Robert,
I like the SWFA 10x side focus milirad model. Plenty of fine hash marks, and the adjustments are the same as the hash marks. I think they go up to 20x.
I struggle with high magnification scopes because of the small clear aperture and lower amount of light that comes through. I have a Weaver 36x T series, and while it is very nice, my brain is tired after 20 shots due to the concentration required (1.1 mm aperture) I shoot as accurately with the 50mm objective Leupold Mk4 on 20x (2.5 mm aperture) and can shoot much much longer with less fatigue.
I am probably the exception around here, and I read that a lot of folks like the high magnification scopes. I would take lower magnification and better resolving power any day.
If you want to try the super sniper or the Weaver let me know, however the Weaver does not focus much below 40-50 yards.
