Hello all, glad to find this site. Been thinking more about joining an airgun club that is local to me but I also have an issue with my rifle. The gun preforms great but you have to be careful. If you have the gun pointed up and release the safety it will fire. If the gun is pointing down range it will not do that. Has anyone seen this issue before. Looking forward to hearing from you and getting to know the group.

I have never seen that. Sounds like a missing spring though. Someone will be along shortly that knows more.

so know nothing about the rifle but if it has trigger adjustment screws i would think they are screwed in too far

so if there are screws back off a half turn and retest

It's an HW95 clone and can be a very good gun. Pretty common for people to back the trigger spring screw (behind the trigger) out to get a super light trigger which is a bad idea in the first place. Turn it back in until you have some reasonable tension and now you should have enough pressure to provide reliable and consistent sear engagement.

Thanks guys, I knew the trigger adjustment was there but never changed it. Maybe the previous owner had. I will give this a try tomorrow and let you know. Its a sweet shooter..

Well that did not work. I broke it down and a nut fell out from somewhere and there was a screw missing in front of the trigger. I tried replacing it with no luck. Then when putting it back together I found another issue. The back trigger guard screw hole is stripped. I only gave $50 for the gun so guess its a good excuse for a new one.
