Just picked this Beeman  RS2 up for new $75. Scope included. Ya a cheap Wally World rifle. But have read some good things about them. I cleaned it checked it out. The .22 barrel is installed. Shot it about 30 times. So far it seem to be pretty darn accurate and it was suprising this little rifle packs a pretty good punch.

Never would have considered getting one but for the price I couldn't pass.

I forget who made those rifles for Beeman. The emblem kind of makes it look like a Norica to me.  But, I really don't remember.

It sure reminds me of my Xisico rifles. The safety is almost the same as the

The Beeman RS2 is a Chinese copy of the Spanish made Norica Marvic action. Can't remember which factory makes them, though. I've got one, too. Not a bad gun really, but mine is twangy as an old banjo, lol. And if you want to take it apart you've got to make a 4-pronged adapter that will span the retaining pins and trigger housing so you can compress the spring to remove the pins. Never got around to making one of those so mine is still twangy, lol. The trigger is actually pretty nice once it's been polished some and adjusted. I've never tried the .177 barrel on mine but the .22 barrel seems reasonably accurate. My main complaint is it's a big gun. I'm used to the carbine sized guns like my 34 Pro Compact, Beeman R9, or shorter.

BTW, search the old Yellow Forum's Chinese Airgun Forum archives. There's quite a bit of info on the RS2 there.

@jim-in-swmo

I took off the stock and will be soft bedding it this week. This always seems to quite the twang and vibration.

I thought Industry Brand (I think that's also SAG) made all the chinese Beeman, Tech Force and QB guns.

Tuned, soft bedded loctite on the .22 barrel set screw. and added a red dot.

You would never think this was a cheep Chinese Beeman.  It s is so smooth and quieter now. A absolute joy to shoot. I took it out and sighted in the dot. Had 11 empty pellet tins, these my targets set at 30 yards. I was able to shoot them over and over. Almost  becoming monotonous.

For $75 and a few hour of time a $75 rifle that shoots like one several hundred dollars more.

Nice.

I've always wondered about these, not least for the inclusion of a bonus barrel.

Do you have a chrony? (apologies if I should have already noticed)

JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo Express .22 Cal, 14.3 Grains

After tuning and soft bedding shot 250 cheap gamo pellets to break in a newly tuned rifle. Have no idea on the fps with them. They shot okay but the JSB are far more consistent.  H&N in a similar weight came in a close second.
