Got it last week, very fast shipping. Got around to unpacking it tonight. First impression better: then I thought. Comes with everything to start fling right out of the box, except oil. Has a female quick connect in font of a dry filter system. Looks to have  a complete O-ng reseal kit with it as well as extra dry filters.  Fairly generic and basic instructions. Specs per book:

Rotating speed 2800 r/min

Lubricating system splash type'

Two stage compress mode

Power 1.8 KW

Working pressure 0-30Mpa

Water cooling

Weight 15. 8 kg (34.8 pounds)

Noise 85db.

The book also list the power supply as 220V (which I ordered) but the unit I received is 110 volt.

The unit looks to have started life as your typical vacuum pump like the kind used in A/C  work. Seams well made upon first inspection.

The books states 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil of the national standard is recommended. Some care to translate that form me? Other than wrong voltage, first impression is ok.  So what would you guys in the kwon recommend for oil, knowing that this is a repurposed vacuum pump.

I just ordered my second one...first one worked very well for a week, until my house burned down and melted the whole thing along with my FX Impact, Wildcat, Monsoon, 88 SCBA bottle, 45 tins of ammo,  car and everything else.  most steel parts survived; a little black and rusty, if anyone needs spare parts for these things.......

There is a really good thread about these on a different forum. I don't keep up with the rules so I'll just say a search will find it( I won't link) and I'll bet you'll agree it was worth the effort. Huge thread, many pages, everything you'll need to now about these.

How much was yours and where did you purchase?

They all run about 350 with shipping from various vendors on the Alibaba network.   Best bang for the buck for sure; just need a better filter/dryer though; about 90$ with shipping plus 20$ bag of desicant (molecular Seive) to adapt it as a true drier; also from Alibaba site. (see one of many you tube vids on this simple mod.

I bought a 5 gallon bucket of the #46 hydraulic oil as prescribed, for less than $30 to my door from Wally world. I change oil every other or third run! I substituted a fountain pump with higher gpm in a cooler to push more water through. Also added extra inline desiccant filter. Keep an eye on temperature of unit while in use and shut down when it gets too hot, let it cool back down and start it up again.

AW46 Hydraulic Fluid. 46 is an ISO viscosity grade. AW means "anti-wear". Some people are using 10-40 synthetic oil instead. It is commonly available online, or at places like Tractor Supply. A gallon will give you many changes, most people are changing when the fluid is discolored (visible in sight glass of drain plug), or every hour or so of operation.

My brother and I decided to take a shot at this same unit. So far, it seems to be a good risk. Fills our SCBA's quickly (88 CF SCBA tank from 2,800 to 4,500 in about 20 min).

Some of that oil ends up in the filter (blow-by).  filter gets to high pressure = possible detonation(dieseling) if using a flamable oil, thus the #46 high pressure hydraulic oil.  got mine at "O-rileys" auto parts, about 13$ gal.

Good info on that successful barter with seller!  How cheap can these things be made?   Makes you wonder if other compressor makers are really sticking it to their customers.   I think this design (both stages on the same connecting-rod (or "in-line") isn't a good cost saving advantage.  It only takes about 25 fills on a big bottle to pay for itself at scuba shop prices, not counting the gas plus driving/waiting time.   these are lasting over 30 fills and still going for some users.  Looks like the price could even come down more.
