Did you report this to MidwayUSA? I will likely get the same thing this weekend.

@gonzav

I intend to but just got these this morning. Just more time lost from better things to do.

It also needs to be reported to Norma. I guess omitting any kind seal from the tins is a cost cutting measure in times of pandemics? LOL

Just got mine with 3 opened tins mixing 8.4 and 9.1 grain pellets together. The picture above shows what it looks like after removing 8 tins of pellets from the padded envelope. Very very disappointed. Contacting MidwayUSA.

Curse of Midway. Decent prices, sales now and then but they pack beyond lousy. My one and only order was 4 tins dropped loose in a padded shipping envelope and got here so dented they were unusable. They got returned, packed in PA shipping foam no less with a letter suggesting they ship using foam like that.

Never did get a reply, even from Mr Larry Potterfield himself after I emailed the man who "wants to hear from his customers, good or bad, to make Midway a World Class retailer", including pics of the damaged tins, how they were shipped to me and how I shipped them back suggesting his "World Class" business should step up a notch and use foam like his competitors.

Nothing but crickets, he just wants your money.

if all else fails get a bigger stick

you charge these pellets, depute the charges and keep the pellets and tell them that is what you are goin to do

tell them you are going to post all of this on forums

that shows up on Google almost as soon as you type it and push post

remember you can't fix stupid, oh and i have tried

I had the same problem.  Midway dumped 8 tins of pellets in a shipping envelope without padding.  Not surprisingly the tins arrived dented.  After exchanging several emails with customer service including showing pictures of Pyramyd’s shipping technique, I gave up and requested a refund.

Lots have tried, Midway just doesn't care. Only good things I've gotten from them were a couple rifles for dirt cheap they sold as "blemished" that, rifle 1 didn't have a mark on it and was still sealed new in the box and rifle 2 turned out to be a return from a member of another forum I belong to, claimed it was hard to cock and sent it back with only 3 shots on it.

Saved $100 a rifle in both cases...lol.

Midway is a TERIBLE supplier.

I've had pretty bad experiences with them and will not order from them anymore.

AND I have gotten most problems fixed BUT after CONSIDERABLE effort and time. Once you take into account the time, calls, aggravation, and stress; their prices are not that good.

Now, packing pellets is more an art than a question of just having the right "foam". Las shipment of pellets from PA/AD/AV out of 50 tins, 6 were dented.

Of course I still use those for practice, warming up/MV testing and other stuff, but it is annoying. Good thing about the PA group is that they DO listen! SO they get as much business as I can route through them.

JMHO

That sucks, and dumped/mixed tins would really boil my cabbage.

Best bet is to return them, with emphasis on having been damaged in shipping.

FWIW, I would leave them loose in the package 😉 with a note stating that you returned in the same condition as received. How ya like dem apples?

I do like Midway, and throughout the RIDICULOUS shipping delays of 2020, Midway has been consistently getting orders out within 2-3 days.

Other places have been running between 1-4 weeks, with many items becoming OOS and the order eventually cancelled.

Brownell's, Primary Arms, Palmetto, Classic Firearms, Ammo Empire, deserve 2 thumbs up.

JSE Surplus, Battlehawk Armory, 22mods4all, Thunder Tactical, get 1 thumb up. They are a bit overwhelmed (disclosure, I know the Thunder Tactical guys, they are good people, but overwhelmed)

Sportsman's Guide rates 1/2 thumb up, for overselling their inventory, and mass cancelling backorders.

In the avoid at all costs category, and deserving of special mention, Botach. You've been warned.

Same deal with, Delta team Tactical, Davidson Defense, KM Tactical, Locked N Loaded. These are a special breed of douche bags.

Back to Midway... their $49 free shipping comes and goes, on approx 10-14 day cycles.

This year I've spent ... mmm... $3k at Midway. Most of the stuff, like bullet molds, just is what it is.

These pants stand out, decided to take a chance on $3 pair birthday pricing. Awesome pants, if you like baggy and heavy denim. Put in a notification, even at $5 these are a spectacular value. Large = 34" to 40", don't expect to get all the same size, best bet ->order 10 pairs. Shrink the oversized pairs in boiling water.

I suggest anyone with the same problem contact these jokers. I will accept nothing but full refund as a matter of principle. Greatwhite, I fully intend to return in the same manner as I received -I'll even thrown in a little duct tape. Also, thanks for the additional heads up on some other 'ASSets'.

If I put myself in that shipping dept., I'm sure from simply handling that anyone would realize how easy the lids come off. I've seen Chimpanzees & Bonobos capable of MUCH greater complexity of though processes on public TV. Tells me that shipper could give a Sh*T less, let alone provide better padding.

I cannot forget that Norma does not seal the tins as well...duh Their email is: info.us.ammotec@ruag.com

Their website is very vague but I did find this interactive dealer map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1DxoLr3F5Gxw03b5JNWLsCkln4heoeOi-&hl=sv&ll=38.45053884404684%2C-94.44406933895817&z=5 Hard to say which ones sell the pellets but I did ask them. We'll see...

Sad part is, these may be fantastic pellets!?

MidwayUSA Customer Service <customerservice@midwayusa.com>

RE: Damaged or Missing Product - MidwayUSA.com Contact Us Form

Thanks for contacting MidwayUSA. We’re open and shipping as fast as we can!

Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, internet commerce is at an all-time high, creating unprecedented levels of MidwayUSA orders and residential deliveries for our package delivery partners. This is creating some challenges which are keeping us from serving Customers the way we want and you deserve. For this, we’re truly sorry. Here are a few things we’d like you to know:

  1. While we’ve projected estimated delivery dates as accurately as possible, please note there may be delays from our package delivery partners as they’re experiencing large volumes and Employee shortages. If your order takes longer than expected, we’re very sorry and appreciate your patience in allowing a few extra days.

    2. We're hiring as fast as we can and doing our best to respond to Customers as quickly as possible, but our incoming communications exceed our capacity. Regrettably, we’ve had to temporarily stop taking phone calls, and even web chats at times, and still can’t process all our communications fast enough. We’re several days behind in answering emails, and experiencing long wait times when web chat is enabled. We have all available Employees, regardless of their position in the company, helping ship packages and respond to Customers. Rest assured, you will get your order and we’ll respond to your communications as fast as we can. We’re working on resuming phone calls and web chats as soon as possible.

If your email is about the status of an order or backorder, you can check the status online by using the My Account link at the top of every page of our website.

We’re very sorry for the package delays and communication issues. Thanks so much for your patience, understanding and loyalty.

Sincerely,
MidwayUSA Customer Support

To be fair, their shipping was lightning fast! Just glad I didn't order a scope:

"Dear straightflite, we apologize for the broken scope. Perhaps the two halves will make wonderful binoculars. Simply place each half over the correct corresponding eye and adjust to your current eyeglass prescription. We recommend cleaning both halves to prevent Covid contamination in either eye. Thank you for shopping Midway" (Too much?)

I am doing a refund from MidwayUSA for the 3 tins of pellets that broke open in the packaging. I am sending back the bubble envelope package with 3 empty tins. After sorting the loose pellets, I had to throw away less than 20 pellets with significant damage. I hate weighing and inspecting each one of them and placing them in a foam pellet tray plastic case (formerly for JSB Premium pellets). At least I know now that the Norma pellets are very consistent in weight ranging from 9.0 - 9.2 grains for the Norma Golden FT Heavy but they are very loose fitting for my TX200HC.

Yea you just can't beat Pyramyd Air's Shipping. Why you all buying pellets from Midway anyway? I just ordered 1800 .30 50.15gr pellets from them for my AGT Uragan .30. That thing loves them...

You can't beat the Buy 3 get 1 free and then find you a good coupon code and get free shipping.

1.They might go in with my regular order.

2. Birthday pricing.

3. Daisy .177 wadcutters for $1.4? per 500, on clearance.

The only cheaper shooting I've done involved a slingshot and a gravel road.

PA unfortunately for them has been slipping quite a bit lately and the stories about lousy packing and dented tins are showing up on the forums I wander through, mine being one of them. I got in on a deal they had on H&N Baracuda Hunter pellets and ordered 10 tins. Those tins were packed 5 tins each in a bubble mailer, then the 2 bubble mailers stuck in a 3rd and shipped. No normal foam, no nothing except the 6 of 10 dented tins I received and their idea of taking care of it was to send me 2 free tins and give me $10 in Bullseye Bucks.

Needless to say last pellet order from PA and I'll stick to either Trenier or AoA which although not foam packed like PA is/was doing, still come very well packaged and I've never gotten a damaged tin from either.

I would send pictures to the pellet manufacturer and photo of your invoice.
