Who is engrtom99@gmail.com? He directed me to a Gbajuedupe4 for a item I was looking for. I might have got scammed out of 115.00 usd. He requested pp ff. I had sent pp goods and services. He is currently requesting a screenshot. What is a screenshot? Be careful out there.

so you sent good and services to protect yourself and that is understood but he wanted friends and family the why is not important

screen shoot is you taking a picture of the transaction

if you have his email you can take a picture with your phone and send it to your email on your desktop and add it to pictures and take it from pictures and add to the email

you can take the and also send in in a message

now when you use an email address to send money at PP it tells you who the address belongs to and that name should be the same as the person you have been talking to otherwise i would stop

@marflow what tripped me up was the notice I received from this forum via email. This so called forum member steered me to somebody that had the item I was listing after. Yeah I know...my bad.

back many years ago if you had a Pay Pal account you could back track it to their Ebay account and then you could see their feedback but that was stopped

back in the day a Pay Pal account was not that easy to get and for most people they took care of it because if they lost it, Ebay was cut off

but now that has changed

now you have to look out for yourself but i have been there and lost money also

I cancelled my Paypal account because of their anti-gun policies.  Venmo is another arm of Paypal and I don't use that either.

@marflow

@pzhills

Don't mean to hijack Brian's post.

I've had a verified Paypal account since 2003. Been a few years since I've listed anything on Ebay but I chose to only accept Paypal (not fond of them either) as payment. Just seemed easier. Am I short changing myself with that method?

There are other legitimate means of transferring money.  I accept cashers check, USPS-MO, or Zelle.

when it comes to moving money easy is what i like and Pay Pal does that if you don't like them that is your choice

i have had PP save my bacon a dozen time over the years and i will stay with them if you used a charge card just file a claim they will back it to PP lap and PP will deal with it

you used Goods and Services so you are protected by PP file a claim and all bad players will have their accounts closed

what you are dealing with is a scam but that is really fraud and all money movers do not like fraud
