So the instructions to my Avenger say "store at 1K lbs" - but what does that really mean and what is an acceptable pressure? Clearly they want SOME pressure to keep the seals squished just right. But for example, can I do a max fill a week before I go the range? Does "store" mean long term, as in greater than 1 week, with a time duration of less than one week okay?? There is inherent risk in having a tank filled to 300 bar in the house. But besides that, will the seals be damaged by full pressure, and if so, how quickly would they degrade?
Any comments are appreciated.
It's easier on the regulator to have the stored pressure close to or below the regulator set point. Less stress on the springs and regulator seat, and even better if the regulator is just sitting "idle"
Unregulated PCPs it doesnt make any difference. If they are gonna leak they are gonna leak.
If it's not sitting for a month or so I don't sweat it.
