Somehow my Izzy 46 shot without being locked down. Lost a seal on the little block that flips up. Can't seem to find a spare. Anyone have a clue where I can find one? If you have a spare to mail me I'll for sure be thankful and send you some compensation! Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

as you have found the breech seals are hard to find and if found very expensive but that has been true for a long time

there is an Ebay seller that has a set for 25 bucks they are green in color but look 3D printed but the seller states rubber as the material and the price if they work is no different as the seal that were sold at

there is another Ebay seller that wants 24.40 each out of Poland

and i did read that 5mm x 2mm buna Orings will replace the factory seals and they would be about .10-.15 each

i have not tested but have some in my cart at Amazon

i would normally get them from The Oring Store but their shipping for one item is not worth there great service

PA never answered the phone but they do show the piston head seal

My original 46 came with some o-rings and a parachute seal tho none of the odd Z rings for the breech shuttle.  Those replaced with o-rings that barely hang onto the sharp angle of the area previous Z rings occupied ... tho do seal just fine.

the factory Z seal or wedge seal is 9mm OD and the 2mm x 5mm is 9mm OD

as i said i have some in my cart at Amazon

clean up both areas put a film of grease on the non Oring side and close the breech and open and check grease transfer

if the Oring has grease completely around it's surface you should be good to go

i would think a little grease behind the Oring will help with is sealing and staying put

is an Oring correct, NO but it works it a cheap work around

you can get them there or the Oring Store but the cheapest place is Amazon if you have some other items to add

that is off of the post that i have mentioned

My IZZY needs seals also.

It's 25 years old (bought in 1999, second hand) and I used the seals up that came with it long ago.

Thinking about sending it to MAC1 for a rebuild.  I need to call him and ask if he still works on them.

Many year ago I tried to call him about a used AG he had for sale and I remember he never answered his phone.  I finally did get him on email, but it was a SLOW process.

as you well know from this post or any other parts for the IZH's are hard to find or very over priced

and seeing that the sanctions on Russia have been in place for a very long-time supplies could be used up, making it hard for a smith to want to work on your pistol

there is the Ebay seller in Poland and they give good service but their prices are high in my view but if you need it you bite the bullet

Piston seal Baikal / Iż / Izh 46 | eBay

so good luck if it is shooting i would just search for parts

@bilrus61

Thank you for the kind offer, but after 25 years of owning it, I think it's time for a complete rebuild.

I am going to send it out this week, as soon as I nail down someone reliable

@jimbianchi11 My Izzy was rebuilt by Pilkington Comp. years back, but they no longer work on anything but Styer....their website lists several firms they recommenI am not familiar with any of them, but I trust Pilkguns opinion.
