Need help with rebuilding my Baikal 46 M with the 4 seals and "O" ring. Now at the cylinder [ part #29 on their diagram] removal stage and can not get the cylinder out as I am afraid to damage it. I have read reviews from others that mention it can be difficult and seek any advice anyone has to offer.

this might help they talk about heat to the tube with a torch I would try a heat gun or very hot hair dryer
the picture are gone and that would be because of Photo bucket and that's a real shame
if you think something else was leaking or that tube wasn't a problem you might leave it alone but they send that tube seal in the kit and one will want to use it
please tell us how you get the tube off if that's what you finally do

The cylinder came off using heat from a hair dryer and is threaded on which, was how it was fastened but I was not certain they were threads until I had it off. The paper clip tool idea worked well to remove the valve seat [# 30] but I am still working on removal of the seal [ # 31 ] that the diagram refers to as " locking piece". I will keep plugging away till it is removed.
The air pistol has about 30,000 or 40,000 shots through it based on the pellets I purchased so want to replace all the seals.
I notice a brown residue in the compression chamber that is likely holding the last seal in place. Not much seems to dissolve it as I don't want to damage the finish on the air pistol.
Will post the outcome as things evolve.
it appears that seal is fairly thick in profile and that is where a good set of dental picks come in handy, I must say 30 to 40 k is a lot of pellets, I see why it is get a refresh
old seal that are thick can get stuck in with the old oils and such, grind yourself a tool to pick it out
do you have a set of X-ACTO knives might be able to cut it in to pieces and get it out
you will get it and your care in do so is a great trait
