I have an IZH-60 that I purchased many years ago at a local gun show... fun little springer !
I always remembered Russ Best (is he still around ?), doing a modification to the pellet follower/bolt that added an o-ring to it, but I never wanted to risk screwing up the original one on my IZH-60.
I recently purchased one off ebay from a Russian seller, and he was kind enough to add an o-ring to my order... you can buy extras off ebay, but they don't list the sizes, and seem kind of expensive for what they are.
I want to get a few extras in case I need them someday, but I'm not sure on the exact "size" number of it.
I did not attempt to put the o-ring on the follower/bolt yet until I get a few extras.
I tried measuring it with my digital calipers... hard to do on such a teeny tiny squeezy rubbery thing... at least for me !
But it seems that it is either a "003" or "004" Standard USA o-ring by locating a couple of places online.
One place lists the dimensions in decimals (inches) for the "003" as CS=0.060, ID=0.056,OD=0.176, and the "004" as CS=0.070,ID=0.070,OD=0.210.
The other place lists the dimensions in fractions (inches) for the "003" as CS=1/16,ID=1/16,OD=3/16, and the "004" as CS=1/16,ID=5/64,OD=13/64.
I think the "004" is closer to the measurements that I made.
I'm also not sure what the material rubber type should be.
I'm going to try and locate the o-rings locally, if at all possible, hopefully at a GOOD hardware store or autoparts store, but I have my doubts.
I don't mind ordering them online, if they have the correct size & type, but then they come in a pack of 50 or 100... which I don't mind, because they are inexpensive enough... just don't want to order a large quantity of the incorrect size.
Any ideas ?

Can't help with the o-ring situation, but I can share much love for the remarkable little Izzy. I've owned probably about a half dozen or so of them over the years, and currently own a steel breech 61. Before this one, most of mine were plastic breech models, both 61 multi and 60 single. All of mine had the early multi-link trigger, which can be adjusted to match grade, if you know what you're doing and take your time. As I understand, some of the later 60/61's have a simpler, less adjustable trigger. That actually may have been an improvement, because with the earlier trigger, it's very easy to go too far, and get yourself into "How the hell do I get this thing to shoot right again?" Been there, done that.
To this day, my Holy Grail is a steel breech single shot IZH 60. There is just something about these guns. IZH makes only one grade of barrel. The same thing that goes on the 46M match pistol goes on the cheap 512. Every IZH gun I have ever owned (and there have been quite a few, going back to an IJ-22,) was capable of remarkable accuracy, even the cheap ones. Those just took a lot more technique from the shooter. But the potential is always there.
What makes the 60/61 so special is that the platform is not over-stressed. It is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding recoiling spring piston guns to shoot. (as long as you can manage your expectations about FPS, FPE and realistic range.)
Didn't mean to hijack your thread about o-rings. I'm just a big fan of IZH guns, and the 60/61 platform in particular.

I don't thing I have really adjusted the trigger very much... probably out of fear of "going to far"... but I probably will try to, and do it just a little bit at a time... more than one screw always complicates things !
the o-ring store will have anything you need and if it has come from anywhere than the US it is metric but for something like that close is normally good enough

you mentioned trouble measuring o-ring, they can be hard but I like to use a 6 inch metal ruler, you can just lay them on top and give it a good eyeball
General make one that has inch and metric and can be found on Ebay for under 6 bucks model 311me or 32075
and there damn handy for all those quick measurement needs, won't know what I would do without mine, so I just bought more, if one is good three has to be better, old minds tend to misplace things, ALL THE TIME
Good idea Mike... I didn't even think to try a ruler.
I do have a couple of small plastic 6 inch ones that has inches on one edge, and cm/mm on the opposite edge... got them years ago, and I've used them a lot over the years... drives me nuts when I misplace them, but they eventually turn up.
I'm going to add a few metal ones that you mentioned !
I also love having various "yard" sticks longer than a yard available... a couple of the 48" ones and a meter long stick... I keep a metal yard stick screwed to the side of my workbench for quick measurements
