I have the HW30 and just need a little more power for shooting squirrels. Neighborhood setting so quiet is a must. The sound of the HW30 is fine to me.

AoA Weihrauch HW50S Hunter worth it at $533? I'm just going to use the modifier, could care less about scope. Going to put on my scope.

Or should I get the Weihrauch HW50S for $333?

Is it that much quieter?

i would assume that is there slip on LDC and if you are going to use your own scope, i would go for the plain 50s model

if the barrel is 15mm you can get 1/2-20 slip on adapter off Ebay so you could remove a threaded LDC

check Krale for there pricing

i see they are out of stock but it might be worth the wait

i have bought 3 times from this seller and got nice service and produces

In a conversation with Jim Maccira years ago about moderating a R1 I was getting form him. He informed me that a springer could see about a 30% reduction in noise with one. With that being said the HW50 is not a loud gun or as big as a R1. I shot a HW50 for a few years and it was great. If noise is your main issue you might want to look at one of the many 200-300 dollar range new pcp's on the market. Now relish I am a springer guy tried and true, but when neighbors are involved I am stealth guy. You will find many stories about neighbors freaking out about pest control and airguns in their area. If you go with the HW50 you have still made a fine choice.
