Nope. Looks like FX took Beeman hype copy and inserted it into their literature. Did a quick decibel meter test at the shooter and at the muzzle today. At the shooter the meter read between 99-101db, and at the muzzle it was between 101-105db. I knew from the first shot it wasn't as quiet as a gun with a nice thingy on the end like a huggett or DonnyFL. Nice gun for the money though.
This is a good setup for around $500 ($350 for gun (used), $160 for scope (used), and $7.50 for rings (new)). These are nice rings for the money:

Had to use high mounts since the medium mounts with a 42mm objective touched the barrel with a scope cover.
Initially tried JSB Monsters 25gr. pellets, but it grouped terribly at 25 yards. Tried Hades with great results. Will post groups from next shooting session.
25 yard five shot groups using Hades pellets. The fliers were me, as the trigger seemed lighter that I'm used to. Will have to use the trigger pull gauge on this gun. Either way, a very nice gun that shoots exceptionally well. Was still adjusting scope on the upper targets. Middle and lower were the last three groups.
