Yesterday I happened across a Stoeger S3000-C rifle at a price I couldn't pass on. I've never had any real interest in air rifles, and never owned one, so I need educated on anything and everything that I need to know about this particular model for sure, and general things to know about all air guns. I'm 67 years old, and have been a hunter my entire life, so I'm pretty well knowledgeable on the safety side of things and the maintenance of conventional weapons. What I'm looking for is the ins and outs of the above model as far as durability, nuances, and usage, and anything else that I should be aware of pertaining to this model. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide me with. Who knows, this old fart may become a fanatic air rifle enthusiast.
@bomc6988 Often over looked. If it was my only choice I wouldn't complain. Nice little shooters in about 550-600 fps range.Just clean bore with a pull through until sqeeky clean. I put a Williams peep sight on 1 and a Hawke 4x on the other. Got 1 for my grandson and he loves it. If I had an airrifle like that when I was 9 it would be hard telling if there would be any tin cans left. Youtube might have some info, good find and enjoy. 8 grain pellets...
I bought 8 stoeger X5 rifles 5 years ago for Gifts for Christmas and 8 S3000-c last year and keep 1 for myself ! These are Great rifles ! The new Synthetic Stocks and very Solid similar to the Walther Terrus Stocks ! Very accurate but just don't buy the Combo because Scope is Garbage ! Hard ti Believe the are Chinese ! You can't go wrong with these Rifles ! triggers aren't HW Record but not Bad at all ! I mounted a Hammers 3-9x 32 AO and works Great ! Marketing makes all the Difference and not to many reviews on The Stoeger S3000-C ! My Nephews still have The X5 Rifles after Thousands of rounds for over 5 Yeats ! These rifles can be bought on Bay for $85.00 !
Great shooter ! The one to far right is Spanish Cometa 220 , next is XS 12 Chinese Clone , Another clone Stoeger S3000-C ! Cometa has Best real Adj 2 stage Trigger ! Xisco has Full Tuned and Nice Light Trigger and Stoeger has Good Factory Trigger ! All are Great Rifles in $100.00 -$160 range ! Then you move to The Hw 30S at $359.00 !
