So I recently am getting back into the hobby after about a year or more away from it. I bought a HW97K in .20 cal and wanted to go through it and tune it up to smooth it out. I found many threads that are very good pictures and instructions for the tear down as well as the reassembly. Plenty of videos on youtube as well.
I felt empowered and decided to do the tear down and rebuild in my shop (I am a car mechanic not a gunsmith) and it was a blast. I took in all about 150 pictures.
SO - Questions is do we need another thread that accounts for the step by step tear down of a HW97K and the install of a Vortek PG3 HO kit or just a thread that highlights the things I learned along the way that could be of some help to te next guy/gal who starts turning screws???
~GOD BLESS~

Never can have too many of these! Go for it John!
Yes please, by all means. Maybe post the salient "lessons learned" photos here, but please provide a link to the whole process. As you are a practicing automotive technician, I'm sure you are aware of how few up-and-comers are choosing honest skill-based trades for their futures. Show the community what you've learned, and help keep the community alive. Good on you!
They are all a little different. I would say post it but keep it concise and try to key on what was unique to your tune compared to what you've seen. There won't be anything new, but as an example, it was clean/dirty, seal good or rotten, factory lube, already tuned before, etc.
