The pistol grip is now more symmetrical and the cheek rise is more like a HW50S.
well working with wood anything needs to do it right, i'm not sure what the pocket knife has much to do with it
custom stocks are made with duplicators or CNC machines to make there form
you are still a ways away from finishing yours, how are you going to stain the beech wood or are you going with a bedliner finish
The work that I did was with the poxket knife... My Grandpa vould have carbed a complete srock in less time than I have in it,,, Ir's therapy for me...
I have the shaping done, now to start sandining... I'll need to have a coat of paint on it whrn I send it to br dipped.
We use to understimate others work. Human behaviour.
Probably was hard to cut that beech with a pocket knife. Some suggestions for shaping. A rasp and wooden dowel with coarse sandpaper will go quicker and both are cheap enough to purchase. The round surface of each will also help keep contours in proportion vs a flat blade.
Good work though!
