Those are good.

Two years ago I wrote Hans Weihrauch about my HW rifles; The HW35 that was the basis for the R1, and Bob Beeman’s R1 that preceded the HW80..

He sent me a hat, pin for a hat, ballpoint pen, sticker for the shooting box.

Nice guy, like his dad..

so if you have the ability to make the shirt why not get I touch with Weihrauch and make an agreement to sell the shirts with them getting a percentage

the shirts are something I would wear and buy

you might not get rich but it could be nice little business

i'll take a yellow one

Pretty sure Beeman did not invent the HW80, or R1 as he calls it. But if you ask him he will say he did, lol.

As long as he isn’t trying to sell these shirts, they can’t say a darned thing about it.

I'm not sure they care if someone is selling shirt because if you look there are other people doing just that

there is even a shirt out there that looks almost like his creation

I still what a yellow one

What a shame that one has worry about legal mumbo jumbo when it comes to advertising freely for xyz company. Weihrauch is the bomb, but If it were to cause problems, I could always use my free speech to print "Weihrauch sucks" or "Weihrauch is junk".

Advertising freely is one thing, personally paying a company as an individual for the privilege of advertising their own goods and services goes against my personal beliefs. That's why I wont buy Nike's, Abercrombie etc. I'm nobody's billboard unless it is on my own terms. I tried to instill that principle in my own kids though without much success. If I had my own business, I would love to see people paint my name on their houses in big letters lol.

I love Weihrauch and the shirts brad!

I am not selling these shirts.  I had a girl I know who has a machine make them for me.  I will wear them proudly.  Weihrauch has better things to worry about than a guy here in MO wearing 3 Weihrauch shirts with their name on it.  I might even get some to buy guns from them wearing it who knows.

Tom Gayord wrote the book about the R1. Dr Beeman invented the R1 using the HW35 as the basis. The HW35 is a short stroke and Dr Beeman thought it would be more powerful with a longer stroke. That is exactly what happened. The HW80 (which came after the R1) was distributed outside of the United States as long as Dr. Beeman was in business. He sold the company in the early 90s and then the HW80 was allowed to be sold here.

Perhaps I used too much brevity in my response LOL. There were a few cautionary litigious overtones in some of the responses to what I saw as some pretty darn cool shirts!  They were obtained on the OP's terms. I would wear anything that Weihrauch gave (or however obtained) me, BTW. They are a manufacturer to really be proud of.

I'm with marflow, I like the yellow one too but the red one is pretty hot as well!

Sad that UK Webley and Theoben is gone. I would be willing to have those made to my taste as well. Pretty sure their lawyers are indisposed (sigh)

Totally correct Frank, although you don't need me to tell you that ?  Pretty sure Robert Beeman PHD was deeply vested in the P1 design also.

Funny how things work. Example: If a builder beautifully constructs a Frank Lloyd Wright house, it is not named for the builder...it's still a "Frank Lloyd Wright" house.

Bob was very close to his customers.

He designed most of the R series as well as the P series.

I bought mine from him at his 2nd store front in San Rafael.

It has every option available including the muzzle brake, which you cannot see.

I always wanted one of those Goudy stocks and was lucky enough to find one at an airgun show-with a bit of inletting I fit it to my R9.

Something I didn't know until recently, is that Weihrauch also makes firearms under the Arminius brand name.  I have seen 45, 38 and 22 caliber.  They are well made and exceedingly undervalued in the US.
