I had a few"realguns" and a gamo swarm on the table but ended up bring about all of my stuff and some other stuff home 🙂 I saw a beeman airgun that caught my eye... about r7 hw 30 size that I kept looking at... well his price was low and it looked in decent shape . It was a beeman falcon 2 made in spain which I did not remember from the catalog but eventually I could not resist... I read they were decent lil guns and after shooting it a bit in the basement I think its gonna be a good one even though I need to get into it andchrony it... I think she needs a lil help. But she is gonna be a great basement backyard gun for sure!
Bought one a while back to go with my older Norica's. Actually nice, basic rifles from a pre-magnumitis, anal-oriented time when you shot airguns to, well, have fun. Who'd a thought it? ?

I love my old school HW50's,55 hw30/r-7's and fwb 124's and they ar FUN- I believe this will be right in that group 🙂
So it seems the Beeman Falcon 2 was the predecessor of the Beeman FX-2 from reading the links in the previous posts.
My first air rifle, purchased in 1989 was the FX-2; I still have it too... I fell in love with airguns, and drooling over the old Beeman catalogs from owning the FX-2.
I was told that it had a leather piston seal, but it's a synthetic seal... dismantled and re-lubed it last year... Pyramyd Air sells a replacement seal... bought one, but mine still looks great.
The FX-1 appears to be Norica's sporter version of the G80, a basic, introductory target rifle. Same trigger guard and front sight. The G80 rear peep sight is a simple hole in a standing blade mounted on a ramp. It also has a very nice palm swell. There is also a G73 which has the Rekord style trigger but not as refined. And then there is the 61, which I think is the FX-2. The little Norica's are all twanggggggy.

This is my G-80 I bought off Gustoo:
I think this is a good canidate for my first self tune/turning a spring guide etc project 🙂 I have my lathe nmill - have for years now but am setting up a dedicated room for such things without being crowded 🙂
I thought this gun was gonna need attention after shooting it in the basement.... it was nice today and I set up the chrony and grabbed this lil gun to see where it was at... 3 shots consistent 273-280.... about 300 fps low 😮 SO to the back burner for a later date- I think I will do a real tune with spring guides and a re seal.... almost have my machine shop ready... but alas work is starting- I believe I need to make my garden larger for the festivities n have some clean up to get done...
