Top is a QB with a sidelever breach in a Steyr Match stock, Marksman polymer rear sight. Next is a Daisy 887 with AirForce front and rear sights. Below that is a Daisy 753 wearing an early El Gamo rear sight. Next is what started life as a Crosman 1389 Backpacker. 26” Crosman barrel, Daisy front muzzle weight, and a very vintage Anschutz rear sight. Finally, an IZH steel-breach 61 with a carbon-fiber barrel shroud and a Hungarian (?) polymer rear sight. All of these guns have clear-aperture front sights.
i have the same feeling about diopter sights, i even start collecting them as a side hobby, was getting them off Egun in Germany and got carried away
I miss the sights which came factory on a Diana 75...
Jim, those are great! I have "diopter disease" as well, and you have some intriguing combos here. That last sight is a new one on me!
Do you use any of the nifty accessories - adjustable irises, etc.?
I have adjustable on one of my Williams rear sights. Gehman, works great. My FWB 603 is a excellent set. I see that the 10 meter competitors use elevated front and rear sights. My 603 is not equipped with these risers. I assume they prefer the risers for a more heads up position. Do you think that is correct?
