This is the the stupidest thing I have ever wanted. I even have an old Drozd (not the yellow bumblebee one) that I never shoot, although it was fun at the time. It was always out of either gas or bbs, and I doubt this thing would be any different. The Drozd did shred a coke can pretty well, but I don't drink much of anything that comes in cans.

You might know I like springers and 10m guns, and have a PCP or two and maybe some SSPs just to be well-rounded. Heck, I don't even have time to shoot those, much less hunt, anymore. And I have never been especially fond of gas guns.

But this dumb thing has been in the reptilian core of my brain since they first announced it a couple years back.

Yesterday, my daughter asked what I wanted for Christmas, and without knowing what my brain would say, this just popped out of my mouth (she looked at me as though I had asked for John the Baptist's head on a silver platter).

And then today on the way back from skating practice, we stopped at a well-known west coast sporting goods chain for other stuff, and god help us they had one under the counter. And I picked it up, and stuff. OMG, as the little girls say, I have at least held a real Wehrmacht issue MP-40 in the past, and this thing really captures the feel, if not the 9mm operating cost.

The feeling has come and gone before, but I never actually hefted the BB version. It felt... true. I know it's stupid, but my inner child keeps saying, "how much deader would a gopher be if you whacked it with one of these?". The answer, of course, was: "considerably".

The Diana K98k never spoke to me like this. I can only hope the feeling fades, or wiser counsel prevails, before holiday crunch time.

Good to know one's in stock about 6 miles up the highway, just in case there are no neckties or sweaters on sale at the last minute...

Reviews seem pretty good, too.

This is one of those things you had no idea you needed, until the very instant you saw it (right now for me)

GASP (romantic violin music plays)

I need an auto setup for raccoons, but this seems light... meh... ok I'm over it... sure that's what I'll tell myself... till I see the picture again...it's dreamy...

I have the SMG. Total novelty gun. LOUD! Mine wasn't near the advertised fps. Sent it back and when it was returned it only had a modest increase. I increased the bottle exit pressure and that helped. Still not accurate at all. I will admit it makes you smile to go full auto.  My 10 year old nephew shot it in my back yard. It startled him so bad he couldn't control it. Was just spraying lead all over. My bird feeders, fence, targets were just all in the line of fire. ?  100 round magazine empty's  quickly. You do feel like a 1920's gangster with the round magazine and front handle.  Better have a home fill available because it's thirsty for air.

What I really want is  a flame-thrower. There, I said it, go ahead and laugh... yeah ... maybe a little hot for night time pesting...

Not that I’d wanna be an enabler or anything (YEAH RIGHT), but a friend of mine got one of these which I recently shot. It was a ton of fun! And they nailed the look, too, it is frighteningly realistic in appearance and heft.

It gets surprisingly good mileage out of the gas cartridges, too...

Well, a Driskill endorsement pretty well seals my fate. Might have to wait until Christmas, due to other capital outlays, I still want it,
