Hy score 801/D25
Nice gun! That's the Diana 27 iirc. Should be able to get what you need from Chambers in the UK.
a 801 is not a 27 but a Diana model 25 / 25d as stated in Blue Book
a model 27 is a 807
it would be the same seals for both models and i would think you could go away from leather and go to synthetic
Vortek might have a kit
it appears it would be a 25mm piston seal
just for reference
I have a 802 I am parting out. Not sure if any parts interchange. It is the 6 shot version.
Tim the 802 is a pistol the 801 is a rifle
I talked a friend. He told me where the date stamp on this gun was. Checked the entire gun with my optivisors there is no dare markings. But from the looks of the rear sight I think it might be a older model???
Removed the surface rust and will refinish the metal at a later date.
The barrel is in excellent condition. Cleaned no pitting. Just finished installing a leather seal I made. The chamber and piston was surprisingly clean. Ran some fine steal wool on my flex shaft into the chamber no rust flashlight showed nice and shiny.
Put it back together. The trigger needs some work but will do it later. Since I will be tearing it apart again soon.
Hopefully have located the parts I need. Will know next week when my package arrives. End cap and set screws.
Sill need a pivot bolt screw and some new stock screws.
Hy Score/D25 I need a pivot bolt pin. Do you know where to get one or if a pin from another model will work,? Its the only part I can't find. Have looked everywhere. Literally.
Always nice to see these older guns brought back to life. Did you take the action out of the stock to look for the date of manufacture (left side above the trigger)? Sometimes the date is stamped low enough on the tube that the top edge of the stock covers it up.
Sorry, no clue where you could find a pivot bolt. Good luck.
Looks like Chambers in the UK has the 'barrel joint screw' but not the little keeper screw:
Also available from John Groenewold in Illinois:
I rebuilt a little Diana 23 a few years ago and it was missing the pivot screw. I looked through my hoard of screws and found one the right size with a nut on it. I think it may have been a Daisy screw but not sure. Anyway it looked good and worked, but wasn't original. If you can measure the hole and width of the gun and PM me, I may have another.
i hate to say it but JG's prices suck, the little set screw is 1 euro and the bolt is 3 euros but the shipping will eat you alive unless you buy more then 2 little bolts
Waffencenter Gotha always seems to have the best prices and Enrico is great easy to deal with but ordering can be hard because of there system, bank transfer being one of them
OMPS2 on the other hand also has great price and parts lookup, shipping is the usual 20 to 25 euros but again buy enough to make it worth the shipping
now i have no problem buying in the states but i do have a problem paying 17 bucks for a 4 dollar screw in Europe
it is like we can't price check them
now i'm i certain all these parts are available, no, but i do know enough to at least shop around
@marflowfound everything I need
something that might help down the road
in German but has the correct part numbers
glad you have been taken care of
Stock refinishing. Received some of the parts for rebuild. Will be working on it soon.
My 1947 Hy Score has been tore down. The stock refinished and parts wire brushed cleaned and re-blued. So far its looking pretty good. Have everything I need to finish it except stock screws. Will get them at hardware store.
Looking new. Before and after pics.
