Just ordered a new HW35E today in .22 caliber from AOA and was wonder if that was a good choice of caliber. I like the .177 ok, however at my age they seem to be a little more difficult to handle, and I like the extra hitting effect that the .22 has on cans and metal targets. Anyone happy with their HW35E in .22? Charles
@sekiar It will be fine. Granted, it will lob the .22 pellets a bit more than the .177, but if you are ok with that it will be just fine.
I have a .22 HW50S. Just got to shoot it recently. It has a little more power than the 35, but it is fun to shoot. Nice shot cycle and it just hits where you are aiming. Not meant to reach out long distances. If you shoot at 20, 30, 40 yds then you will be fine.
It's kind of cool to watch the arc of the pellet and then hit the target. Like a Steph Curry 3 point shot!
Enjoy!
I also have a Hw 35 E .22 and was bought from AOA years ago and just had it Fully Tuned from Steve Pomona Air guns ! It was also a Great Shooter but now Smoother than Silk ! Has more power than I need but it’s Keeper ! Had a Mendoza Aperture sight and is a Tack Driver! You made the right Choice! Enjoy
@sekiar congrats on new gun. When you get it , let us know how it shoots & post some pictures please.
