Weihrauch HW35 | Collection

...all of mine are just "HW35". Maybe the "Luxus", "Export", and "Standard", and "EB", (I don't know what that means) just refer to the type and quality of the stock, and are otherwise just the same airgun? While ago someone had a Luxus on eBay: he was resting the gun on the asphalt roadway to take the pictures...:(

Ummm...that would be your Model which is 35. The Weihrauch logo as the maker of the rifle. Mellrichstadt Bav. is Mellrichstadt in Bavaria and where the Weihrauch factory is located. Kal. 4.5 is German for .177 Caliber.

Weihrauch used to put the variant marking on the breech block, but stopped in the early 1970's I think. This must have caused a lot of confusion because it's so easy to swap stocks post-factory of course.

I have some old HW 55's that are marked HW55M, HW55T, etc. But all newer ones just have HW 55.

As already noted the other markings are caliber and address.

Yes, the variants were just different styles of stocks. The actions were all the same.

That being said, there were changes over the years. A 1980 HW 35 is not exactly the same as a 2020 one, BUT the stocks will interchange with no issues.

@willy As far as mine goes and what I have read no true Barakuda should have 35 stamped on it. Its true model designation is HW EL54. Any models that have 35 on them are fake and assembled with left over parts and are not considered true Barakuda's.

so after some looking the E is for export and the B is for Beeman, so any model 35 with the Beeman name of it would make it a EB but was marked HW35

the EB would be amused seeing that Beeman was the importer and they were exported to the states

but what the hell do i know, it is not my rabbit hole

FYI, the seller offering that rifle is using questionable marketing verbage, IMHO... No doubt it is probably a great gun... But I turned down my chance (and my ear is still ringing).
