How many are using (or wish to use) a larger tank on their Gauntlet? What other mods are you using?

Now that we are offering a 70% larger tank for the .177, .22, and .25 Gauntlet, and can increase the pressure too, what OTHER mods are you and others using to increase power?  What kind of springs?  Valves?  etc.?

The gun was DESIGNED for co2 pressures.  There is a section of original size and thickness air tube between the reg and firing valve, so its  not that wise to increase reg pressure much over as-issued.  I think Umerex recommends 1100 psi max, so its not a good thing to go more than maybe 10% over (at your own risk of course).

Power isn't raised with a larger tank, so unless its a .22 cal, there's little need for one unless you need way over the typical fifty shots or more the stock .22 gives.

All the above said, I did raise power on my .22 one by ovalizing my transfer port and changing the striker spring for a WEAKER one (yes, too strong a spring can, and often does reduce power).  I also slightly increased the reg pressure from 1100 to around 1225psi as I wanted to use the gun for Open class Benchrest, and I prefer 890 with 15.9gr or 850 with 18.1gr (the rules allows up to 35fpe), and I was only at 21fpe stock, and 25fpe before the reg shimming exercise.

The gun now shoots 15.9gr@890fps and can put five shots in to 7/16" at fifty yards with the stock barrel (sans silencer baffle and spring).  It will be on the line at the upcoming "Temecula Long Range shoot" (100 meters plus)  this March 31.
