Air compressor? don't even no the name of it? has anybody got one?or no much about it?its air cooled,i think 2 opposed piston.Basically? for filling airguns and small pony tank.
Not too sure what you are looking for in a PCP pump? I don't think that one has any means of taking water out of the air. I have been using a FX pump for years and just went with a china build water cooled 4500 psi pump for $200. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it works.
For $60 how good could it be?
It's not very expensive, BUT, there are a few things to keep in mind.
1) If something, even as simple as a seal, fails, can you get replacement parts?
2) They list this thing as 12v, but keep in mind that this thing draws 50 Amps! If you're running it off your car, you MUST have the engine running. That much current would suck down your battery really quickly.
3) You should have a have a desiccant filter in the output line to keep moisture out of your guns or tanks.
4) This compressor is too small to fill any significant size tanks

it has every part listed in the ebay add. you can plug it into a wall outlet. no I would not fill the Goodyear blimp with it just rifles. I think water going into your rifle is way overblown. I filled my hatsan and discovery maybe 300 times each with a hand pump. read all the scary articles on rust took of the tubes and on both not one spec of rust. I live in NY were real humid summers. then I had to pump both up from empty. I used some choice language for all the experts
Just because it has the parts listed in the ebay ad, it doesn't mean that you can actually get the parts when you need them. You might want to check with the seller about parts availability.
As far as water goes, I also live in NY, and I get a lot of water blow off when I vent my compressor. my compressor has a moisture coallesor on it, that traps a good fraction of the moisture (I also have desiccant filters). This one looks like just a junction block with a vent valve. When you're not venting, the moisture has to go somewhere, Good luck!
When you go to the Ebay link and try to same the item it makes you select what you want to save. The air compressor is $302 and change, the $58 and change is for the converter only. Not the air compressor that is the DC version, air cooled and does not need water. They are also selling the normal blue water cooled compressor.
OK kids a new toy is in the house"its the one i could,nt find anything about?well any hoot a friend of mine bought one" hay it works" it has a 1 month guaranteed so. i said we better use it" so we filled 6 or 7 air rifles and one was a big bore with a big reservoir.OK here we go.It takes about 3 to 5 min. to fill each gun.After the 3 gun the top of the head became warm,on the 6 gun it was warm and a little hot but i could still touch it. The transformer was not hot at all. it also worked perfectly.Every thing was their to get started,all was needed was various fill probes that all fit into the foster fittings that came with the compressor .Theirs' is a schematic that come's with the compressor and some mis. parts and filters.The thing turns about 100 rpm" im serious"nothing like the Young Hens and Tuxing.When we filled the gun's and when i opened up the bleed vale hardly any moisture came out"Here's some measurement.Converter box-9" long-2.5 deep-4.5 wide.The pump-10.5'h-5"w-9'5L..

Glad to hear that there is one in the house to test for the community. Your statement that "hardly any moisture comes out" is a bit troubling. There is moisture going into the compressor, and it has to go somewhere. You should get a desiccant trap, with color changing desiccant, on the output, so that you can monitor it. One of the 8" (about $30) is plenty big enough for that. Check the desiccant after about every hour of run time, and go from there.

I have a question concerning these compressors or I guess the converter. The converter is a 12 volt 50 amp converter. Not being an electrician I would like to know if that would be a problem in the normal house. Most of my breakers are 20 amp and some are 30 amp but I don't have a 50 amp breaker that I know of. Would the converter draw 50 amps or does it produce the 50 amps from a lesser amount it draws from your regular wall outlet? It doesn't make any sense that it would trip your breaker every time you used it but it does make me wonder about it. Thanks for any input and like I said, not an electrician.
1800 w /12v dc = 150amps doable off car battery. ( my 12v dc hydro pump motor draws 400 amps)
1800 w/ 120v ac ( power factor .85 for induction motor)=17.64 amps input. apx I can see this as possible for the converter ( unless i messed up the calc.) ( straight division is 15 A) whole lot of other things in here this super simplfied.
So I have no idea what the labels mean when they spec 50 amps
the ad I looked up says Youhg Heng and of course there are a dozen or more similar.
