Does anyone know of an inexpensive red dot or green dot sight that does not have parallax issues at 10 yard distance ? I HAVE ONE THAT SEEMS TO BE NICELY MADE / GOOD CONSTRUCTION / nice view and red and green dot   BUT THE PARALLAX ISSUE IS SEVERE .

This one.  I use 4 of these for 10 meters (11 yards) targets and they work flawlessly.  2 on carbines, 2 on pistols.  Very stable over time.  One caution, the windage adjustment (left/right) seems to be backward but works fine.  Any such sights will have some parallax error but it is minimal on the Hatsan unit as far as my actual usage goes.  This was recommended to me by a pistol instructor at he Vacaville State prison where I work.

thank you for the tip . i would like to to mount this red dot on a smith & wesson victory 22 cal rimfire . has a picatinny rail on the top of the barrel . will need to come up with a way to adapt the pic rail to the  11mm dovetail that this hatsan optima red dot uses . all the adapters i see are reversed . any suggestions from anybody ?

I got this to use on my 2240.

It seems to be very accurate out to 20yds + it requires a dovetail to weaver adapter

I like the ADCO 1" R/G dot sight. it's a little spendy, but very high quality. I like the fact that you can use any standard 1" scope rings or mounts.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by parallax, given it's a zero-magnification sight.

parallax is where if you hold the rifle or pistol in locked position [ say in a gun vise / bench rested ] and you move your head / eye around , you will see the point of aim / dot move in relation to the target . at close ranges [ 10 yards ] , the movement is quite severe on the $25 red dot i have . the aim point error decreases as the range distance increases . i believe all reflex sights will have some degree of parallax issues at close distances . i would like to find one that has minimal parallax at close distance without spending $250+ on a red dot . think about one of those mini red dots and how much manufacturing is involved . i have several AEON 10X40X56 scopes that have multiple fully coated optical  lenses with a 30mm aluminum tube and 56mm objective lens with side focus and zoom from 10 mag to 40 mag  , and laser etched glass field target reticle . it's about $250 , and compare that scope to some $500 mini red dot reflex sight ! - you could buy two Aeons for the price of an overpriced mini reflex red dot . doesn't make sense . btw - the aeon scope has crystal clear glass and has absolute excellent performance. i am looking to do Rimfire Challenge [  22LR SPEED and ACCURACY COMPETITION ] with a S&W Victory . also , have a Taurus TX22 Competition . MINIMAL RECOIL , SO THAT WON'T BE AN ISSUE WHEN SELECTING A RED DOT .

I'm quite familiar with parallax RE scopes. I just tried your head-bob experiment with my ADCO 1" R/G dot sight at 7 yds in the basement. With the gun firmly on the rest, the dot did not move from POA regardless of my head position, or the sight picture. Even in extreme off-center viewing, with the dot barely visible at the edge of the field of view, the point of aim remained constant. Based on your description, I'm guessing this dot sight is pretty much parallax-free.

here is a good video showing parallax and how it affects aim point   --   think about rapid fire and acquiring multiple discrete targets , chance of missing due to erroneous aim point      ---
