Johnny, I hope you are doing well. Between those two, I’d get the Boss. The Daystate, from what I’ve read isn’t as accurate plus I believe the Boss has a better shot count.
I’m getting an Edgun .30 R5 and can hardly wait.

I've heard opposite. Not that the boss wasn't accurate but I've heard the 303 highlight is very accurate. I already own the boss but I was thinking of trading it in for the 303 highlight because of the fact it's 100 FPE and the boss is only 78 FPE. And the the shop is giving me real good money for the boss! I wanted the rapid air weapons HM1000x but it's FPE is even less than the boss. And I don't want buy the rapid air weapons 357 because I think that will be way too loud. I only have a 1/2 acre of land but I have the neighbor to the left and right of me that don't mind me shooting but my guns are pretty quiet but I think things would be different if my guns were louder than they are.
Well get the .303 then bud. My info is coming from when the .303 first arrived on the scene, before the HiLite option. Even back then they were producing 100 fpe. Have you ever considered a bullpup?
I just watched some videos of the HiLite. The accuracy looks good but the yardages were not that long. 100 fpe for sure. 18 to 20 shots. Looks like you probably need to use the Daystate .303 pellets or maybe there is some slugs for it.
Well, since you mention the RAW. IIRC, I read recently that someone swapped out their .30 RAW reg with one from the .357 RAW. That with a port/hammer job should throw pellets downrange with similar velocity of the 303. That is of course if it's doable.
Btw, I have a .30 RAW. It think that they are within 2 ft lbs. of the FX. Not too much of a difference. I am sure that both can be made to shoot hotter at a cost (shot count, accuracy, and cash).

I do have a .25cal FX wildcat that i really love and along with that and the boss i also have a royale 500 that's almost identical to the boss so i was just thinking of going with a different brand and the daystate caught my eye.

Single shot. Limited Edition (going fast)
Im getting the Long with Huma/power plenum
I have a Daystate 303 Hi-lite with an Athlon Helos BTR 8-34x 56 FFP as shown. I have taken out mid size game at 70 yds. Crows at 90 yds and the accuracy is fantastic. The shot count is only about 16-18. I shoot the JSB 50.15gr and I am amazed at when you hit a crow, you hear the impact 50 yds. I can only say that mine was chronographed at 102 fpe at its high and 98 at the low in 2017. You cannot go wrong with either gun, but you cannot match 100fpe either.
thanks
Rick
Cant speak to the Daystate 303, but all other Daystates I have are spot on accurate. I do have a Boss in .30 and I must say that while it's a bit long, it's everything I'd want out of a .30. Accurate and pointable with a good shot count.
I've not had it long, so cant speak to longevity, but I've had my Royale 500 for years without one hint of issue from it so I would expect the same from the Boss.
This might help if you haven't see it yet. Pretty good unbiased head to head. Looks like they both have their pros and cons. Personally I'd go with the Boss if for nothing else it is regulated. Not only will you get more shots, but more importantly they'll be more consistent. IMHO.
