Just wanted to show off my FX Biathlon Mark 1 I was able to get for a great deal. The previous owner broke the stock and I had to do some repairs. I might buy an FT stock when money isn't so scarce or do something like cerakote on the stock; right now it is Krylon and plastidip. His name is Ullr after the nordic god of skiing and archery; I added the green where I had to make repairs and where I put in the Anschutz rail. Still debating on putting on a harness rail so I can haul it like my competition rifle.
Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet because I am waiting for a front sight to get here - should be here on Friday!
At present the only issue I have is that it won't charge above 150 bar. I can hear leaking if I am able to get it over 150. I am new to PCPs, can anyone offer any advice on how to get it charged up to 220?
I am also curious about if there is a way to reduce the hammer? I want to drop the power and the cocking effort - if that is do-able.
well great on your purchase and getting it repair and ready almost
i my my stark opinion ditch the green, i downloaded the picture and enlarged it to take a look and hell i don't care it just a bloody air gun with a broken stock
tell us how it shoots after you fix the leak, that's all that matters
I like the green. It is my favorite color.

I went with the colour scheme because it was what I had on hand. Also, one of the colours of the god Ullr is green, so it seemed fitting.
Well, I emailed FX and spoke with one of the technicians this morning. The biggest issue is that since no one knows much about these things it is hard to find a schematic. I pulled it apart and discovered that the air tank has a valve so it can be removed when filled with air and I also discovered it can be filled back up with a hand-pump once it has been emptied.
No obvious signs or issues in regards to my air leak problem. I am going to see if pulling it apart and putting more air back in magically does something?
Updates
I got my front sight in the post today and got it mounted (pic attached). After removing the cylinder I put some soapy water around where I thought the air was coming from. Looks like there is a leak between the valve and the cylinder itself (parts 47-48 on the schematic). And a very helpful FX technician was able to find a schematic at this website:
So, things are moving forward!
I need some advice. The leak was between the reservoir and valve.
Got those apart and it looks like everything is intact. The o-ring seems to be ok. It is not obviously cracked or damaged.
Same with the reservoir itself
So, replace the ring anyway? Reassemble and tighten it back down? I was told the rifle fell off a rack before I bought it, so maybe it just got loosened by the fall?
Thoughts?
