I saw this folding work bench and think it would make a nice shooting bench, cleaning bench, folding work station.

Thanks for the heads up David. I like it. I subscribe to Woodsmith magazine. They always have interesting stuff.

My shooting table is a custom shaped plywood top clamped in the jaws of a folding bench called Black and Decker Workmate. I own their best model. Harbor Freight sells a cheap yet functional version for about $30.00.

I have never seen one of those Keter Folding Work Tables before.  It is neat.

@donc

I have two or three of the old original Black and Decker Workmates with the cast aluminum H shaped legs.  I read that B&D only made that model for one year due to the cost of casting the legs so if I see one for cheap I pick it up.

I've got one of the Keter tables as well. Love it. Sets up, takes down in literally seconds. Folds flat (about 4") with carry handle. Well worth the investment.

At Home Depot, Husky also has a nice portable table. You screw the legs on it, they store under the table. I use both for shooting benches. Room for a rest. I also cut a piece of thin Yoga mat to go on top of it. Keeps things from sliding and protected from the plastic tops.

Some of us benchcrest fans up here in the North East have used the Omni Tables which are quite stable. Have also used some of the Dog grooming tables with great success.

I have several shooting benches myself.  I have one of the large heavy ones made of pressure treated wood, a Caldwell Stable Table, and a Cabelas Big Game Swivel Table.  I use and like the Cabelas Big Game table the best.  I also use a tripod with a  rest on it a lot.

I just posted the folding work bench here because I thought it was a neat folding bench and I think it would be more stable than most plywood benches.  I thought someone might like it.

I always thought one of these would make a good bench.  Make a plywood top in any shape you like.
