Depending on your budget, you can try the Discovery Optics 4-16X50  ($150) , or the Vortex Diamondback Tactical ($300) 6-24X50.

There are other MUCH more expensive FFP scopes, but for pesting these two will do nicely.

I have a Leupold Mark 4, 8.5-25X50mm ERT scope and a Burris 5-25X50mm XTR II scope. Both are FFP, Mil/Mil, with TMR/Mil-dot type reticles. I love them both. I swear by this formula for long range shooting.

After owning many good quality SFP scopes over the years, I recently bought my first FFP.  I can't say that I'm really enthused about it.  I don't like the fact that the reticle is too small at low power and too thick at high power.  I haven't mounted it on a rifle yet, so maybe my impressions may change.  At this point, I will stick to SFP scopes.

@paul-in-zhills

I agree, I like the reticle to stay the same size so i always choose the SFP.

I’m 75 and have used every scope you can imagine...but NOT on air guns.  I too own the Burris 5-25X50mm XTR II scope ($1200), but it’s mounted on a 6.5 Creedmore and love it.  That saying, in general the FFP is a great concept used in the right situation and on the right weapon. The good thing is that your Mil-Dots have the same value at any power, so you don’t have to do any calculations to estimate range.  The more you use one, the more you’ll get excited about it.  As for as “the reticle being so small at low power and larger at high power” is the beauty of it’s design...especially if the scope has illumination...at the lowest power the reticle on mine appears almost like a ”red dot” and you just have to point and shoot when you know the range it’s accurate out to...again, no thinking needed!  Great for hunting!  If you crank it up to a higher power your FFP reticle can accurately let you range, adjust for windage without even looking up.  I’ve never had an issue with the transition from low to high on any FFP scope.  The best advice I can give you is to decide what you want to use the scope for!  Hunting?  Bench shooting?  Pick your scope accordingly...not many scopes will do it all.    At present, I have a SFP scope the UTG 2-16x 44 30mm with the Side Wheel Adjustable Turret (SWAT) for parallax 10m to infinity.  It has the illuminated reticle (in like 36 colors combinations), but green & red is really all that is necessary unless you happen to have color blindness, then this really is helpful.  Just look it up and add it to your list of considerations.  By the way, I have it on my old Feinwerkbau 124D .177 from the 1980’s (that has been professionally tuned with the help of Russell Best and work by Rob Hawkins).  I couldn’t be happier with the rig...and the scope was only $150 or so, with my military discount.  Good luck on your selection.

I made two pretty comprehensive lists of scopes available, in two magnification ranges, both in the $300 to $500 bracket (and I'm working on a list for 3-9x (4-12x)).

The lists have all the specs, incl. prices, weight, warranty, reticle, FFP or SFP, max. elevation range, capped or open turrets, etc. etc.

6-24x (5-25x, 4-20x):

3-16x (4-16, 3-18x):

Hope it helps!   ?
